@MikeJamiesonYYC OK, let's try it out on a project I have pitched for a number of years but the Exec seems to always pick rock when I submit scissors. Erlton/Stampede CTrain pedestrian crossing arms (guesstimate cost of $1 million) 1. Equity 5% 90 million rides per year 2. T&R not sure /2

Council was asked to approve a scoring framework that will rank every capital project for the next decade. The criteria include equity, Truth and Reconciliation, and greenhouse gas emissions scoring. At the time of the vote, the weightings behind these criteria had not been disclosed in writing. I moved a referral asking Administration to provide the weightings and show what funding streams are tied to these criteria before Council was forced to vote on it. That referral lost by one vote.  As a result of my questions, the weightings have since been disclosed at 5%. Five per cent of what? We still don't know what funding streams rely on these criteria.  #yyccc #yycpoli #yyc #calgary

@Landonforward14 @LRTontheGreen @JeromyYYC Give it up Landon. I met, wrote, and advocated on this very issue with the groups you identify. I can forward some emails if interested. The Di is on the right track to spreading out through smaller more focused services. If they are serious. That's where the focus shd be.

Many people realized Farkas' campaign promises and agenda were complete fabrications the instant Nenshi, the guy who tried to genocide Calgarians with taxes, showed up. Most Calgarians didn't pay attention. Now the trains are here. Enjoy the ride. #yyccc #yyc

I've heard from thousands of Calgarians. We need to keep the LRT free fare zone. People have made decisions around where to live, work, and do business based on it. It helps move people downtown, supports safety through busier platforms, keeps transit accessible, and is central to our events and festival strategy.

@LRTontheGreen @JeromyYYC "Worst stations in the system are Westbrook, Rundle & Chinook. All in fare-paid zones." This is a very good point and why we need the police and admin to better help us understand how they intend to implement a safer system should we eliminate the free fare zone.

Happy to see @JeromyYYC make this call. Nobody asked for this, nobody spoke in favour of this, 10,000+ surveyed transit users didn't want this, yet it's being pushed. Worst stations in the system are Westbrook, Rundle & Chinook. All in fare-paid zones. This won't solve anything.

NEW: Calgary Mayor Jeromy Farkas says he won’t be supporting the elimination of the downtown free fare zone when the discussion comes to city council later this month. He says the move doesn’t make sense.

At Infrastructure and Planning Committee, I asked about proposed principles to change transit fares based on time of day and distance. Longer trip or rush hour = potentially higher fares. I voted no. What are your thoughts? #yyc #yyccc #yycpoli #calgary #transit #calgarytransit

@AdamMacVicar Adam, had this line been inspected as planned, in 2017 (deferred), 2019 (deferred) & 2021 (deferred) it would likely also have been micro tunneled- avoiding the disruption required because it is now critical. Ironic that one of the consensus culture execs is still bloviating.

@MikeJamiesonYYC My thoughts are: Why do we still not have accessible and safe pedestrian crossing arms at Erlton/Stampede (8 weeks until Stampede) and SAIT/AUArts/Jubilee stations after 40+ years? Do we live in some poor third world city?

@EmmaLGraney @mattscace67 @CarrieTait Wouldn't he have been the one that admitted to giving the full database to 23 and granting access to 545 through his app/website? If so, interesting change in tactics.
