The mayor for London @SadiqKhan has just condemned the homes and lives of thousands of Londoners by denying residents of some estates a ballot over the future of their communities. The mental anguish, along with the human and environmental damage he will cause is incalculable.

Shame on GMP for outing this vulnerable man as a drug user & 'fake' beggar. He sleeps rough every night & is well known to outreach teams. I've visited him myself at 2.30am. If he isn't accessing 'suitable' accommodation, maybe the definition of 'suitable' needs to be redefined

Our elderly are neglected for lack of social care. Decent people who have contributed all their lives are not being given the dignity in retirement they deserve. It doesn’t have to be like this. Labour in government would do things very differently.

The country’s housing crisis is deepening. It’s a crisis that has left 120,000 children in temporary accommodation without a home to call their own. That’s up two-thirds since 2010. Labour will build the homes people need and ensure developers build genuinely affordable housing.
