Today we pause and gather to honor the life, love, and power of trailblazing trans Latina activist, artist, and queer icon Cecilia Gentili. Cecilia put her whole heart and soul into working for the liberation of trans people, sex workers, immigrants, and those at the margins.

I’m concerned by the news that Sheriff’s deputies were following him in a “slow pursuit” to do a “welfare check” at the time he pulled over and died by a self-inflicted gunshot wound. We need better people to call in this situation besides cops- like mental health workers/CIT.
