On the bright side, it really looks like the next chapter is setting up things for APHO. We literally see the red moon in the PV and it looks like the corruption of the Sea of Data manifests on the Moon. They did say that Part 2 will lead into APHO. Guess they weren't lying! 😅

Part 1 1.0 -> 6.4 Part 1.5 6.5 ->7.2 Part 2 7.3 -> 9.0 After stories (Part 2.5) 9.1 -> ???

@Yours_Tanishq They said that the main story will continue even after Part 2 is done. So they are not stopping for now.

@HomuLabs Either they announce APHO3 in 9.0 live stream or something like part 2.5 otherwise we are so done for... I can't see this ending just like this.

So, just like I thought, this is the final arc of Part 2. The devs confirmed in the 8.9 live stream that Part 2's main story will end in 9.0. After Part 2 is over, the main story will continue to be updated to resolve some mysteries left behind. Kinda like a Part 2.5.

@AmadeusRolux Won't say I am surprised since I was expecting this. It's a shame! I want to wait until the 10th anni live stream and see what are their plans for the future before I talk. Although they said that the main story will continue, I hope we get more than just afterstories.

Saying that "the game will EoS" is just exaggerated fear mongering that does nothing to help the conversation and only hurts the game unnecessarily by spreading fear, misinformation, and actually stopping new players interested to try the game or returnees to come back because "the game is dead anyways". On the other hand, acknowledging that the game isn't in the best condition and pointing out that HoYo slowed down the production of content considerably is fine. The game needs discussion around it's strong and weak points. It's fine to say that "HI3 is not in the best state." And although the content we get is good, it feels like we're moving at a snail's pace and I would love more from the game and the devs. You can acknowledge the shortcomings of a game and the fact that it's in a declining state. At the same time, you can also give actual constrictive criticism and feedback. Heck, it's alright to even quit the game if you are unsatisfied with the state its in. But... just yelling EoS does nothing productive or beneficial. Quite the contrary. If someone is going to kill this game, it's gonna be its own community.
