With honesty and respect I’ve contemplated similar things which have lead me to questioning the difference between religion and spirituality. Religion, generally speaking is a belief system living through another’s experiences and Spirituality is a belief system based on living and experiencing it for one’s self. I’m curious on your thoughts @realAtlasPress or anyone else’s that may see this to help provide me with a perspective on which is more valuable or why pick one over the other or maybe even blend the two? I see no right or wrong choice for each living being is entitled to their own unique universal understanding however it’s up to each individual to own and live by it. I truly believe the simplest nuance of definition can shape and change the mindset, behavior and personality of an individual which in a broader sense shape civilization. Curious on everyone’s thoughts. 💭

There’s whole books on theology that don't get anywhere near these thoughts from Napoleon on Jesus

My perspective currently but willing to change is that Jesus had his own spiritual experience and ended up creating a Religion out of it. His connection could truly be divine intervention or in my perspective “God” is in everyone and it’s a privilege all sentient living beings get to explore, nurture and experience God. Don’t get me wrong, I was born and raised in a religious Christian family, I gave it time and effort however my curiosity and will is what lead me to question and consider other belief systems in the world. I’m not here to discredit or invalidate others belief systems but I’m leaving mine open for change and growth. Self reflection and personal inputs can only go so far, I’m looking for other inputs outside of me for the chance there could be something worth changing or growing into. That being said, I’ve learned a lot from Jesus and his experiences and the community of the church but I still found more value using some of those experiences to develop a relationship with the god in myself and choose to not put someone else’s experiences over my own personal experiences. Grateful for those willing to provide civil dialogue and insights.

Groks perspective below 👇 The difference between **religion** and **spirituality** is often summarized as the difference between an **organized, collective system** and a **personal, subjective experience**, though in practice the two frequently overlap. | Aspect | Religion | Spirituality | |-------------------------|-----------------------------------------------|-----------------------------------------------| | **Structure** | Institutional, with formal doctrines, sacred texts, clergy, rituals, and hierarchies | Usually non-institutional; personal beliefs and practices, no required authority | | **Source of authority** | External: scripture, tradition, religious leaders, revelation | Internal: personal experience, intuition, direct connection to the divine/universe | | **Community** | Emphasizes belonging to a group (church, mosque, temple, sangha, etc.) | Can be solitary or loosely communal; community is optional | | **Rules & dogma** | Typically has clear doctrines, moral codes, orthodoxy vs. heresy distinctions | Tends to be eclectic, flexible, “create your own path”; dogma is often rejected | | **Practices** | Standardized rituals (mass, prayer services, hajj, puja, etc.) performed collectively or prescribed | Highly individual (meditation, yoga, nature walks, energy work, psychedelics, etc.) | | **Goal** | Salvation, enlightenment, or moral life within a tradition; often tied to afterlife | Personal growth, inner peace, meaning, direct experience of the sacred/transcendent | | **Exclusivity** | Many religions claim exclusive truth (“one true faith”) | Usually inclusive or universalist (“many paths up the same mountain”) | | **Identity** | “I am Christian/Muslim/Jewish/Hindu/etc.” | “I am spiritual but not religious” (SBNR) or simply “spiritual” | ### Common ways people describe the distinction in everyday language - Religion = “Someone else’s experience of the divine, organized and passed down.” - Spirituality = “My own direct experience of the sacred.” - Religion is about **belonging** and **believing**; spirituality is about **becoming** and **experiencing**. - Religion often answers “What should we believe and do together?”; spirituality answers “What is true for me right now?” ### Important nuances - Many deeply religious people are also highly spiritual (e.g., contemplative monks, Sufi mystics, Hasidic Jews, bhakti yogis). - Many “spiritual but not religious” people borrow heavily from existing religions (crystals + Buddhism + astrology + Christianity is common). - Some religions (Quakerism, certain forms of Buddhism, Unitarian Universalism) blur the line and function almost like organized spirituality. - Atheists and agnostics can be spiritual if they find transcendence in nature, art, love, or humanism. In short: Religion is usually a **shared, structured path**. Spirituality is usually a **personal, experiential journey**. You can have one without the other, both together, or neither.

Be here now… Treat the little moments as big moments… No need to sacrifice the present at the expense of ruminating in the past or future… Develop a relationship with time that prevents you from feeling rushed all the time… Be grateful for the little moments for in hindsight can be the biggest moments

Algorithm, reach those that need to see this on Thanksgiving. Regret is not necessary when you consider the following Question. “What decisions are you making now and how will you think about them then?” It’s not too late or too early, today you can change and seek action to minimize regret. I believe in you!

@imPenny2x The world is your mirror. Be honest with yourself. Be what you inspire to find. Never search for relationships outside of who you are. Do what interests you and the people you’re looking for naturally will show them selves. Cultivate those relationships.

Where do wholesome adults hang out? People with integrity and honor. People who keep their promises. People who will tell you the truth, even if it hurts. People who won’t be sneaky behind your back. I need to meet more of these people.

🚨 Markets just witnessed the most expensive misunderstanding in history: •China’s rare earth “export controls” were announced Oct 9th (not new news). •Trump posted about it Oct 10th → panic. •$2.5 TRILLION wiped from S&P 500 + record crypto liquidation. •China later clarified: not a full ban. All that selling… over nothing. 🤯

Money buys a lot of things: - security - the best healthcare in the world - freedom - life is easier - can fly private, no queues, no bullshit - top tier women, not just looks but intelligence - buy the shit you dreamed of when you was a kid (cars etc….) - enables you to access people of your wealth calibre - network effect What it won’t buy is: - discipline - true love - 6 pack - fighting abilities - friends - respect - loyalty There’s lessons in here. - Wynn 🫡

Literally not even $100k in one day makes me happy. It’s just minuscule. I don’t mean to sound arrogant but those who have climbed the ladder of wealth, will understand. For me to think “ah, today was a good day” it would have to be $5m-$10m. I’m not saying this is necessarily bad or good. We are all at our own stage in life. I remember when $10,000 was life changing money. I remember when $100,000 was life changing money. I remember when $1,000,000 was life changing money. I remember when $100,000,000 was life changing money. Now? My goal is $1,000,000,000. It’s not even the point at this point. It’s the game. The hustle. The swings. Money is like your rank and I’m in the 9 figure league. - Wynn

Awareness and Honesty is a foundational principle and it starts with yourself. Unfortunately, for most it starts with others and authenticity quickly fades as your focus becomes more centered around pleasing others or trying to fit in at the expense of your true authentic self. It’s tough though, you can’t blame people for not knowing what they don’t know, especially if they are completely unaware of their situation or not curious enough to ask the right questions to make a change in their life. Humans are biologically programmed to belong and fit in. It’s just the approach of how you get there that truly matters. My longest lasting friendships are around the things that actually interest me and where I actually spend my time. The shallowest of relationships were in things or places where I’d spend <1% of my time. As you grow older, where you spend your time changes and your friend groups changes as well. Family, school, sports, clubs, gym, work, online, $BRETT & $CRASH, etc. Being “fake” or someone that you’re not requires more energy than just being your authentic self. Ive been there from experience and it’s not sustainable. Appreciate the reminder and honesty @prizmapearlz

My core values are honesty, authenticity, consent, autonomy, privacy, and freedom I value honesty over fake “kindness” I am a kind person but if u cross me I will tell u the truth Ppl would call me unkind for this, but I would argue that it’s the more kind thing to be genuine.
