@HonestyGroup

Honesty’s aim is quite simple, to be honest about food, honest about what's in it, where it comes from and how it is cooked.

Regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum, knife crime (especially here in London) must be addressed wholly and head on. And not just after more people become victims. We need prevention, we need investment into our communities. We need to act now to save lives later

More heartbreaking news. And the perpetrator was only 13 years old. This can't go on, and if we want to #MakeItStop we need to empower our youth, invest in their futures and education so that they don't turn to violence. We cannot fail them. RIP Kory

RIP Kory McCrimmon 😢 Easterhouse Football Academy player Kory McCrimmon passed away yesterday after a knife incident on Friday night. A statement from the club reads as follows. Today our former player Kory passed away after a knife incident on Friday night. A 16 year old kid that played for our 2008 age group only a few month ago is heartbreaking. Football brings people together and forms team mates and friends for life happy times win lose or draw but in days like today when we lose a young person in a senseless incident just is unthinkable and hard for Korys' coaches and team mates so can’t imagine what Korys' family are going through. We need to try educate the younger generation about the dangers of carrying a knife and the devastation that it can cause. A statement from Police Scotland Greater Glasgow reads as follows A 16-year-old male youth who was seriously injured during a disturbance in the Cranhill area of Glasgow has died in hospital. He has been named as Kory McCrimmon from Glasgow. Emergency services were called to Greenfield Park in Eskbank Street around 8.15pm on Friday, 31 May, 2024, and the victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he died on the afternoon of Sunday, 2 June. A 13-year-old boy has been arrested and charged in connection and is due to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 3 June, 2024. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

#HappyMothersDay Becky (our cookery school administrator), and Romilla have known each other since they were 11 years old. They recount and reminisce about what their mothers were like growing up and how each of their memorable personalities played a part in their upbringing.

@EdibleReading We absolutely do live and breathe the values contained in all those posters on the walls in Thames Quarter. It is not easy and it means taking difficult decisions that impact on profit margins everyday. - Romilla Arber, Founder of Honesty

@EdibleReading I am not here to question your opinions. Those are yours and let's face it everyone has them especially when it comes to coffee and interior design.

@EdibleReading We used to make all of our own bread and pastries but stopped doing so because of the energy price increases in 2022 which made it untenable. All our cakes and biscuits, empanadas, soups, stews, pies, salads, panini and toasties are made by our chefs in our kitchens in Newbury.

@EdibleReading In my opinion the croissants and the pain au chocolat they produce are some of the finest I have ever tasted. They use quality ingredients and make the pastries by hand, so yes they are human made.

@EdibleReading Our pastries are produced by Birch Bread of Pangbourne. Birch Bread was founded by a bread angel called Lucie Steele. She started the business in a container in her garden in West Berkshire, simply because she had a passion for real bread and pastries.

@EdibleReading Their bread is made using stone ground flour milled from Paragon grain grown in Wiltshire. If there is such a thing, Syd is a ‘food hero’. He is an inspiration and is probably one of the reasons there are now so many great bakeries in the UK producing real bread.

@EdibleReading Just for your information though our bread is made by humans, as opposed to machines, in Inkpen in West Berkshire by a company called Astons. Astons was founded by Syd Aston in 1983 and he was one of the first organic bakers in the country.
