I had the rare privilege of honoring military veterans of Korean & Vietnam wars as they arrived in DC with ⁦@HonorFlightNet⁩ to see monuments here, erected to remember their sacrifices. A large group of random travelers assembled to cheer for these brave veterans. Thank you

At DCA we got a moment to chat with old friends and new, including a mini reunion of our June 2022 all-female Honor Flight-many of the vets came back to be companions this time around 💞 We hope you at LEX when we return. Arrive at 8, park in overflow, free shuttle to terminal 🇺🇸

Our final stop before the airport was the National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial 🇺🇸

Vietnam Women’s Memorial 🫡 we have three female vets with us today. We thank them for their service!

Vietnam Veterans Memorial 🫡 we have a majority of Vietnam vets with us today. We thank them for their service!

Korean War Memorial 🫡 we have one Korean War vet with us today. We thank him for his service!

WWII Memorial 🫡 unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate. We are all a bit drenched, but safely back on our buses.

Just arrived at Arlington National Cemetery. 🇺🇸 We’ll make stops at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and hopefully catch the changing of the guard.
