Over the weekend, I visited the site of the ongoing Type C Primary Health Centre project in Lekki to inspect the level of work and assess the progress made so far. For many families, access to quality healthcare can make all the difference. That is why we remain committed to investing in healthcare infrastructure that will serve our people better and bring essential services closer to our communities. This new facility is being developed to improve primary healthcare delivery and create a more conducive environment for both patients and health workers. Our goal remains clear, to continue building systems and facilities that improve lives and ensure that quality healthcare remains within reach for the people of Lekki LCDA.

Today, I joined party faithful, leaders, delegates, and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress at the Lagos East Senatorial Primaries held in Iberekodo, where Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru emerged victorious. The exercise reflected the strength of our democratic process and the shared resolve within our party to continue building on the progress of Lagos State through unity, order, and collective purpose. I congratulate Senator Abiru on his emergence and acknowledge the maturity, coordination, and sense of responsibility displayed by members of our great party throughout the exercise. As always, I remain committed to supporting leadership and policies that will continue to advance the interests, aspirations, and wellbeing of our people across Lagos East and beyond.

Clearance operations are currently ongoing at Maiyegun-Lekki Beach off the Lekki Epe Expressway and I am receiving real time updates from our enforcement and sanitation teams on ground. This exercise is part of our sustained commitment to reclaim and protect our waterfronts, beaches, and coastal corridors from illegal encroachments, shanties, and environmental nuisances. The Maiyegun-Lekki axis is a critical stretch and we will not allow it to become a haven for activities that degrade our environment and threaten public safety. We owe this to the people of Lagos and to the generations that will inherit this city. A #CleanerLagos and a #GreaterLagos is a coastal city we can all be proud of.

In a time where many only make promises, some people still choose action. @HonourableRBK saw a physically challenged woman by the roadside and decided to help immediately by donating a wheelchair. That single act will change her daily life forever. 👏

Rasaki Bamidele Kasali Donates Wheelchair to Physically Challenged Woman in Roadside Encounter ❤️🇳🇬 In an act of compassion that underscores the essence of public service, Hon. @HonourableRBK Bamidele Kasali, the Executive Chairman of Inside Lekki LCDA, today provided a brand new wheelchair to a woman he found crawling by the roadside on the 11th May, 2026 during the advocacy for tuberculosis screening and treatment in the council. The encounter occurred on 11th May 2026. Hon. Kasali stopped after noticing the woman, who is physically challenged, navigating the rugged road of the council without a mobility aid. Rather than continue, he engaged with her and immediately arranged for the donation of a wheelchair. “This is what leadership means — seeing the people we serve and responding to their needs,” the legal officer of the council stated. “Mobility is dignity, and no one should be left on the ground when we have the capacity to help them move forward.” The intervention instantly restored the woman’s ability to move independently and safely. Bystanders described the gesture as a powerful reminder that effective public service extends beyond policy to direct, personal impact. Hon. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali reaffirmed his commitment to initiatives that support vulnerable members of the community, noting that true representation requires presence, empathy, and action.

Today, I joined fellow APC leaders, Local Government and LCDA Chairmen, and stakeholders at a strategic meeting convened by the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, in Ikeja. The meeting provided an important platform for engagement and discussions ahead of the APC primaries, while also reinforcing the spirit of unity, collaboration, and progressive leadership within our party. As always, meaningful conversations and collective coordination remain important in strengthening grassroots governance and sustaining the developmental vision for Lagos State.

Healthcare should never feel like a privilege reserved for a few. This week, we hosted a sensitization programme on the Ilera Eko Health Insurance Scheme, LASHMA, and EKOSHA to help our people better understand the healthcare opportunities available to them through the Lagos State Government @followlasg. I encouraged residents of Lekki LCDA to take advantage of the scheme, especially as the coverage has already been paid for, removing the burden of deductibles and extra out-of-pocket expenses for beneficiaries. We also spoke about EKOSHA and the importance of ensuring that vulnerable members of our communities are not left behind when it comes to access to quality healthcare. A healthier community begins when people can access care without fear or financial pressure, and we will continue to support initiatives that make that possible for our people.
