@blknoiz06 @TrustlessState This tweet would have brought anyone else on X some serious hate. But because it came from Vitalik people were kind of ok about it. That’s crazy to me!

memetic analysis people don't understand why memes go up because they don't have a good framework for evaluating them, they can't do fundamental analysis on the assets cash flows like they can with everything else I did a long tweet other day on what makes a good meme here ( x.com/blknoiz06/stat… ) but I still think the average person believes they are worth nothing, so I'm going to try to elaborate on why I believe this is not true Facebook, or Meta, is one of the largest tech giants in the world, it holds a market cap of $1.1T & has dominated social media for the better part of the last two decades or so, so why was Facebook so successful as one of the first social networks, Facebook was able to successfully establish relationships between people & the irl circles, online, from there they created enjoyable spaces for people to freely interact with one another, but how does facebook actually make their money? Even though FB was free for users, 95% of Facebook's revenue came from paid advertising, which they were able to charge companies because they were successful in accomplishing the most important thing, getting *everyones* attention in the same place, companies knew that paying for ad space on Facebook would be worth it because of how many people would see their ads. With Instagram & FB there was obviously a ton of hardwork & difficult execution done to make those apps successful, but at the end of the day people's attention was the final product that they successfully were able to capture. Now, back to memes, if you have spent any significant amount of time on the internet, then you know that memes are a substantial part of how young people communicate with each other, whether its instagram, text, tik tok, or whatever else, people are always sharing relatable memes with each other, & the ones that people enjoy the most are the ones that go the most viral across all social channels The reason people are unable to ascribe value to memes is because they aren't doing the right analysis, it should not be on the cash flows of the meme itself, of which it has none, but an analysis of how much the attention said meme can acquire is worth. For FB they are able to monetize all of the attention on their social media into billions of dollars in revenue, but nobody has ever financialized memes on the internet directly until now, since crypto makes it trivially easy to attach an altcoin to an existing meme w/ photos & videos. I already wrote a really long post on how memes go viral & what makes good memes, so I won't go in detail on that again, but think it's worth people rewiring their brains on how to value attention in the attention economy. Another good example outside of Facebook is celebrities, every single celeb who gets famous from their respective industries eventually ends up creating their own product(s) that they can sell to people. & the reason peope like Kylie Jenner are able to make multi billions doing so, is the same reason Facebook is a trillion dollar company. They have an excessive amount of attention from their cult-like followings that they can then monetize. This is also one of the reasons I'm bullish on social tokens, but the fundamental underlying reason on why I believe memecoins actually have value, because they have an outsized amount of attention, & that's worth a lot. tldr: many companies who use ads & celebs who launch products monetize well becaus they are able to turn attention into cash flows, memes on the internet are very good at getting the same level of attention and crypto allows them to be financialized in the same exact way s/o @kelxyz_ for this original idea

get accused of this a fair amount so I will clarify this here, longer post on memes incoming firstly i do not pnd any coins, i am wrong on trades sometimes yes, but i have never intently shared a trade on here & then immediately thereafter sold while bullishly tweeting about it I will explain how ppl can come to this conclusion tho, if you talk about coins under 100M market cap, they are the riskiest coins in the space, & there is a possibility (higher than majors) that they will go down 80-90% or go to zero Now, there is especially true with memecoins because there is a chance that the distribution of supply on the coin is not good I will explain what I mean by this With memes there are three, maybe four, main attributes that allow them to do well 1) relatability: this describes how relatable the meme is to someone who has *zero* idea of what crypto or finance is, a regular pedestrian's hitrate of whether they will like the meme or not for example, @dogwifcoin is a very relatable meme, everyone likes dogs, & a dog wif a hat is very easily digestible for anyone to understand whether they know what a layer 1 blockchain is or not, for that reason $WIF has a very high "retail score" because the dog is cute, other memes that have done well like dogecoin were very similar 2) virality: even if a meme is relatable, it still needs some mechanism for going viral, this can be a combination of things for some memes it can be imminent world events, like $BODEN @boden4pres with the forthcoming presidential election, for others like $DOGE it could be the richest man in the world (Elon Musk) talking about it nonstop usually the beginning of something going viral is some way for it to get in front of the eyes of a lot of ppl very quickly, which is typically why you will see social media play a large role in how these memes spread a lot of memecoin communities do "raids" on the comment section of larger accounts because they know thats the easiest way to get a lot of people's attention, it is also common for memes to eventually attach themselves to accounts with a lot of followers on here - this is best when it happens organically and ppl just like the meme + buy early, but can also be forced like when "KOLs" are giving portions of the memecoins supply but will never work as well 3) distribution: this is what most do not understand about these memes in the early days & is very crucial part of which ones will do well or not, the reason that a lot of new memecoin launches die immediately is because the dev team has some portion of the supply, & is perfectly fine with max market selling large clips of it instantly on launch for 5 or 6 figures or even 4 figures, most ppl do not have a lot of money, so the ability to profit off a coin launch instantaneously is much easier than trying to wait for much higher to sell now, you can look at wallets for stats on distribution, but there are other ways for ppl to get around holding all the coins in one wallet & ppl obfuscate how many coins are held by one person very frequently the best way that I have found to evaluate coins distribution is a combination of looking at the distribution of supply on @birdeye_so or whatever else you use + ALSO looking at the community online & seeing how they interact with accounts on crypto twitter you can hide wallet distro in some cases, but it is very difficult to fake real interactions with people on twitter, this is one of the reasons that $WIF & also $MICHI I think continue to do well, because they have crackhead communities on this website that are nonstop replying to ppl and are committed to not selling until much higher, all of the best memes have great cults, and these cults are the strongest when they are formed at very low market caps when other ppl are not paying attention 4) extensibility (h/t @kelxyz_ ): this refers to how easy it is for the meme to be ported over to other completely unrelated things
