This half term, Year 6 have been learning all about the importance of looking after their wellbeing - especially their mental health. They’ve explored how recognising feelings, managing emotions, and taking time for self care can help them stay healthy and balanced.

Our Year 6 children had a fantastic morning at the Think Safe Trip, learning important life skills to support their wider development and independence. They took part in practical workshops led by a range of professionals A huge thank you to all the organisations involved.

Wow - year 3 certainly have picked a great day for their river cruise on the Thames!

Today we welcomed our governing body for Governor Day! They spent time immersing themselves in school life - speaking with children to hear their voices, observing learning in action, and exploring different aspects across the school. More on Facebook and Instagram.

Today some members of School Council and the Eco Warriors in Year 5 and 6 attended the public consultation on the proposed new village, Murrell Green. They had the opportunity to look at the plans and speak to developers ahead of the planning application to be made.

Year 3 children are enjoying their day in London beside the river Thames. They will be excited to tell you all about it when they return home later today!

Huge congratulations to our 20 ‘Iconic’ children who took part in the annual Gremlin Dance Competition! They danced their socks off to Timeless Icons, bringing iconic songs to life on stage. See our Facebook or Instagram account for more.

Year 3 artists have been exploring colour this week. Using the three primary colours, they mixed secondary and tertiary colours to create a rainbow of new shades.

World Book Day 2026 All pupils and staff had a fantastic time celebrating together, and this year’s theme of ‘Go All In’ helped us embrace a love of reading across all text types and genres. We were truly impressed by the time and effort that went into the wonderful costumes.

The children in Year 6 have really enjoyed their Cogheart inspired artwork this half term.

On Wednesday afternoon, our Year 5 and 6 pupils represented the school superbly at the cross-country league run, showing real determination and commitment as they battled through the mud, while proudly demonstrating our school value of respect amongst other competitors.

Year 6 have had a blast designing their own mechs inspired by Cogheart! Here are some example images using AI - giving clear instructions and avoiding assumptions. Looking forward to exploring AI safety and digital literacy with the whole school during Safer Internet Day 10/02/26
