Dom Twinstar picked with a hook. Dom is making so nice and pick resistant locks can't wait for the updates they come up with next!

@BandEAtoZ Why stop at the shelf? Bring them on the desk 😁 (even if Graphing this model is not really possible in that mount)

@Martin__Newton @LockNoob1 I think picking itself isn't a big problem even for the 4KS. It's different if one uses advanced tools. Lockpicking isn't about opening doors. It's about defeating a mechanism in a vise by skill. As I got more into toolmaking I understood there is a blurry line to draw in between

@LockNoob1 It is one thing to learn a skill and practice it, it is another thing to share that journey with anyone who wants to view it. Yesterday I picked open an Evva 4KS, I don’t mind people knowing I did it, or knowing it can be done. I would never show how, unless it was necessary.

Handles from leftovers can still rock! They even have an optional clicker which makes alignment a LOT easier

@BandEAtoZ That kinda sounds like a combination of dangerous and fun so I still would want to try it 😂

@HookNumber1 That was a fun vid. I have years behind a Brocco and EVERYTHING comes out the hole to get you. Concrete, steel, whatever-that-is 😬. Everything.

@jwrm22 @BandEAtoZ The copper sheet seems to potentially be a very mean trick to make sure the aluminum behind it is well over 700°C before the copper melts away at about 1100°C.

@BandEAtoZ Found it 🙂 youtu.be/9MCHCG3Ezo4 At 7:30 they start talking about it and around 8:00 there is an animation of aluminum splashing out (it's all German). I have no idea how relevant this information is though 😅

@HookNumber1 Molten? No. Aluminum alloy to gum up your saw blades? Absolutely.

@Lmhhunt1 It works with a ball bearing that is pressed into the grooves. The diameter of the bearing, the grooves and the hole in which the bearing rests decides how it behaves.

@HookNumber1 That is a great tool .is it anyway you can show the inner mechanism.I am interested in seeing how it works from the inside.

@BowleyInc Haha I know that feeling. The Dom Diamant usually has one or more sprung discs for example but this is a very expensive feature indeed

@HookNumber1 Lol. I probably shouldn't of even shown the lock yet but I am excited to. The discs are not spring loaded. I looked at that but it's hard to implement and assemble.

@BowleyInc That's cool! Now I'm even more curious 😁 are the discs spring loaded then? Sorry for all the questions I'm just excited about the combination of several mean features in one compact design!

@BowleyInc You mean a sidebar that is pressed into the core by springs like newest Kwikset smart key or the yuema 750?

@HookNumber1 Anything's possible. The side bar is spring loaded, it is not a binding type of side bar which I think makes that rather unlikely.

@BowleyInc I'm really curious 🙂 I could imagine that it would be possible to self-/impression it as it's a thing for other disc detainer type locks and where accessibility is an issue for a picking attack 🤔 I'm sure auch a flaw can be avoided of course

@HookNumber1 It is a disc detainer with our pantented concepts applied. No direct path to each disk. There is an idler, you have to push the key in at the top to engage. We think when launched this will be considered one of the most pick resistant locks that exists.
