My car registration went from $180 in 2019 to $490 in 2025. Same car. Same engine. Same dent on the bumper I never fixed. $490 a year just to legally drive something I already own and already paid taxes on when I bought it. So let me get this straight. I paid sales tax when I bought it. I pay registration every year to keep it. I pay insurance every month to drive it. I pay gas tax every time I fill it up. One car. Four separate taxes. And the roads it drives on still have potholes that’ll cost me $800 in suspension damage. You never actually own a car in America. You just become responsible for every government fee attached to it. Forever.

@abi4560 The issue is reading with the veil still on. The veil is only removed when one turns to Christ. Then when we read the Tanakh we read it seeing its fulfilment in Christ/Messiah. We come out of the shadow into the substance. 2 Corinthians 3:15-18

Christians are told repeatedly that Jews are blind while Jews read the Hebrew text of the Tanakh(ot) and Christians don't. Kind of makes you wonder who really is blind, yes?

I paid a plumbing company $4,400 to replace a sewer line under my garage, and now my garage floor looks like it lost a fight with a sidewalk 😭 They cut a huge section out of the concrete, repaired the pipe, and patched it back in with concrete that doesn’t even remotely match the original floor. So I asked the foreman when they planned to stain or finish it so it would blend in better… And this man literally laughed and said: “It’s a garage floor, buddy, not the Taj Mahal. Be glad it’s not dirt.” 💀 BE GLAD IT’S NOT DIRT?? I’m sorry, but if I’m paying thousands of dollars for a “professional” repair, I feel like the end result shouldn’t look like a random parking lot patch job. Now I’m sitting here wondering if this just tanked the appearance — and possibly the resale value — of my garage. Would you push back and demand they resurface the area properly, or am I overreacting?
