You don't ever need "permission" to enjoy the foods you love. ❤️

Have you ever paused to think about what makes comfort food so comforting? If the things you typically eat aren't adequate AND satisfying, it's inevitable you'll start craving something that is

A hard pill for most of us to swallow is the fact that you can eat the exact same thing as someone else and exercise the exact same way as someone else and still not look like them. Until we accept that, diet culture sold on social media will always be alluring.

@hangryy13 Lol, I do like some of the bean/lentil pastas though for folks with celiac (and they're super convenient for folks who don't eat meat to get some extra protein). Otherwise #facts

Crying releases cortisol in tears. This is a very on purpose, ingeniously orchestrated thing. Please let yourself cry.

I'm finally making 2022 the year I don't feel guilty (or feel less guilty 😅) for blocking people who are just trying to troll or pick fights on the internet. Honey, we're 2 years into a pandemic. I don't have the time or mental energy for that nonsense. ✌️

It's okay to: -Choose white bread instead of wheat -Choose rice instead of cauliflower -Choose noodles instead of zucchini -Choose full fat dairy instead of non or low fat -Choose regular ice cream over the low cal/sugar options

Substituting with ingredients that taste better to you is exciting. Substituting with ingredients that help you manage medical issues is nutrition therapy. Substituting with ingredients you don’t even like because you’re scared of the others is disordered.

Disordered behaviors that are misinterpreted as being 'healthy': -Cutting out entire food groups (without a medical need to) -Basing how much you allow yourself to eat off the scale -Counting/weighing/measuring every bite of food you eat -Exercising to "earn" or "burn" your food

Our bodies naturally change as we age. It's not realistic (or helpful) to compare our today body to our xx years ago body.

If you don't feel hunger cues -- look out for: lack of energy, feeling mentally tired or drained, feeling cranky or irritable, headache, light-headedness, etc. All of these are signs you need to EAT.

Fullness and satisfaction are not the same thing. You can feel full, but not satisfied. And lack of satisfaction often leads to an increase in food thoughts, cravings, and urges to binge.
