July’s project has been putting together a home studio! Has long been a dream of mine to have a recording space and was able to put together all the components. Happy to have a spot for my LT baseball mementos. Goal is to use for voiceover and any podcast opportunities.

@1T_Poker I get Belgium went poorly, but it would take an Exec & Congressional level energy to shift the development sys in any meaningful way. potential for tweaks, & would love to see youth sports not be so expensive. think the US system still will have its cream rise to the top of it.

Have read a lot of debate about US Soccer. The youth sports model being a broken financial pit, and the US behind the world’s best can both be true and separate issues. But if US played well and won, and went 1 more round and lost would this still be as heated of a discussion?

Spurs signing Tobias Harris, retaining Harrison Barnes, and adding Billy Donovan has signaled that they needed more experienced people to help lead the young core. Harris is a punching bag on X, but personality and skill set is right fit for Spurs with a good contract for SA

Billy Donovan has agreed to become the lead assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs and head coach Mitch Johnson, sources tell me and @PeteThamel. After 11 seasons as a head coach in Chicago and Oklahoma City, Donovan accepts the position with the Western Conference champions.

Given the number of fouls that occur in summer league that slow the game down, I like this for this circumstance only. Extremely unlikely this ever would be implemented in a real game, but SL games drag on forever and would be a good way to keep good pace.

The NBA says it will test out the One Free Throw Rule in upcoming summer league play in California, Utah and Las Vegas: Fouls that result in one, two or three free throws under standard NBA rules will instead result in a single free throw attempt ... worth the same total number of points as the free throws it replaces.
