@CutsfromCorner Tony Bennett coached UVA against *eleven* double-digit seeds in the NCAA Tournament. Only once was it what I would consider a comfortable win (Hampton in 2016).

I'll be interested to see how this team starts on Friday. Really across eras in the tournament, regardless of result, it rarely feels like we come out of the gates strong - rather warming into the game.
Would love to see that change against Wright St. and just punch first.

I asked the question and that was the answer the commissioner gave. Nobody got screwed here as it's always close but Auburn was better than SMU in 5 out of 7 metrics and the number and quality wins aren't even close. AU beat 3 Power 5 Conference Champs! SMU OOCSOS 191 AUBURN 16

@StevenMcLain15 Almost positive the intent was to give seniors Ugo and Jacari one last shot at conference honors knowing Chance has three years to go. Nothing wrong with that at all, especially because the team probably weighs in internally on the nominations.

@HoosPlace Conceptually it does make sense to me. Each team can only have one "Sixth" man. The other bench players are the Seventh, Eighth etc man. Maybe chose Jacari because he's in his final year and Chance could get conference accolades next year?

Interesting fact in this Barber - Neckel thread: UVA could only nominate one player for ACC 6MOY and chose Jacari over Chance or Ugo.
Ugo is the DPOY nominee however.

Brutal day for the ACC as all 3 Bubble teams (SMU, VT, Cal) lost (plus the crashing-but-*probably*-still-safe NCSU). Silver lining is (a) the losses were all Road Q1 and (b) the rest of the Bubble lost in equal measure.
Now, an ACCT Semis run would be huge for these teams.

@HoosPlace @CutsfromCorner I doubt it. Seriously. I think he likes this simpler schedule. He truly adores laurel and she him. And he loves being more available for his parents and kids. Even as a hornet, he was never impressed with himself. Saw him moving chairs at church.
