You can tell Devries has changed his mindset and is really trying to build a winning and retention based culture. Building around the three specific freshman alone and Sisley staying helps that. Excited for the future of #iubb especially for @prince_a_moody kid plays with heart!

This first part doesn't directly address your points. I'll get there. 1. I've said before that I don't think most of the data centers get built. And those that get built won't be fully utilized. Right now the big models are all overspending because they are afraid it could be a single winner business, like search. So they either go all in or get shut out. If they don't have DC capacity, their business economics don't work. They dont think they have options Now to your point 2. If most of the world sees the most popular AI models as toxic, you are right, there will be a dramatic impact on the economy. They all are borrowing a fuck ton of money, and spending their cash flow to win this race. There are multiple ways it could collapse. First and foremost, if there isn't usage, or usage and revenue decline enough, because users see their products as toxic, we could see their stock prices collapse, and I haven't done the math so I'm guessing, credit markets will be impacted too. They would have mass layoffs. 3. However. If demand collapses and most of the data centers are turned into Chuck E Cheeses or whatever , and I'll make this a question, wouldn't that soon create a revival of jobs as entrepreneurs step up to fill the void and create jobs ? SMBs create 60 pct of jobs every year. Maybe you get what you want ? AI gone. No AI businesses driven by entrepreneurs that don't use it ? 4. Also. If you are right and AI model demand collapses, the stock prices of the AI and data center related companies go with it. As does the net worth of every billionaire you hate. And to make you even happier, most likely all the loans they took against their stocks get called in and they have to sell their shares into a collapsing market whose decline they are accelerating. Not all that much different than what happened in 2001 5. Now I personally think AI will be a positive for everyone (cue all the hate tweets). And I think the CEOs driving the discussion about AI, jobs and the economy are really bad at communicating to their future user bases. So now we are in a place where no one seems to communicate about this problem. Everyone just shouts. Welcome to 2026 6. IMO , What we are missing is transparency. If there is no real transparency there is no real trust and with no trust , we get what we already have too much of, division And the irony of all ironies, the OG of AI, social media algorithms, give us more of what we already believe on this topic . Which leads to more division and more data center capacity requirements. 7. So as we get progressively pissed off at each other, the people who think they are smarter than everyone, aren't smart enough to know how to communicate honestly, be transparent and share ideas with those that disagree with them. So they do what they always do, aggregate dark money to buy politicians. Both pro and anti AI/data centers. 8. Meanwhile most people just want to go about their daily lives and stay as far away from these conversations as possible, but they have to be afraid of what they can't predict in terms of their jobs and budgets and life. In reality no one truly can predict what will happen. Like most technoligre across history, only time will tell. I'm not trying to change your mind or convince you of anything. Just trying to learn Curious what you think about the above

OK, you get a point for responding. What I’d like for billionaires to hear is that the vast majority of world sees chatbots and the impact they’re having as toxic. The elite class believes they have special knowledge that gives you the right to shove AI down our throats anyway. But it is not a PR problem. It is not about your message. It’s about the rational pros and cons of making an existential economic, environmental, and cognitive bet on slop generators becoming sentient. The fact that the industry oscillates between fantasies of abundance and doomer scenarios of extinction events doesn’t help. Your proposal sounds like: “Either it will take your job or kill us all. We’re in a hurry to find out which one whether you like it or not.” In reality, you’ve collectively tied half the economy to what amounts to a nifty software feature—a search engine for large datasets that uses sycophantic natural language as an interface—that happens to drive people who use it half crazy. It is not a revolution, it is an addictive crutch that is having dire impacts on our ability to learn, think, and do our own jobs. Lastly, I want you to see the massive bubble you’ve ALREADY created, and realize when this goes south, it’s not you who’s going to get hurt, it’s the rest of us. And when that happens, it will get very ugly.

No energy, no toughness. If 3’s aren’t falling you may as well pack it up and go home as an IU fan. Same product for 3 straight head coaches. I can’t keep doing this. #iubb
