8th grader Dhriti absolutely knocked it out of the park with these photos she took for our first project. Goal was to convey an assigned word in each photo using the many photographic tools + options we've learned. Her words were "abandoned" and "promising".

Last project of T2: Album Cover Design. Students have the freedom to use any tools/materials we've learned thus far to create their own version of a design for the album of their choice. These kids used a combo of photo & text editing, and the scanner!

We start this unit by viewing artists who use ordinary materials to create extraordinary works of art (Tara Donovan, Vik Muniz). Ss discover the scanner as an art tool and scan ordinary materials to recreate extraordinary works of art (Amy Sherald, Andy Warhol). So. Fun.

No seventh grade trimester would be complete without toilet paper food sculptures!
