Giving Bucky a modest extension to market rate is a smart move. Giving a young hitting coach w/no experience the keys to a top SEC program was a poor decision. No AD should be given the benefit of the doubt on hires…judge results based on context and merit.

I’ve watched a couple of thousand A&M baseball games, and tonight may be one of the worst played by both teams. This is some serious bad baseball.

@AggieBaseball Still wondering why a power hitter with low contact rate is leading off. He fits in the middle of the order.

Is there a reason why Sorrell is showing no urgency tracking down balls and giving up extra bases tonight?

@wcabbate You can’t hit a ball hard guessing correctly? High fly balls to medium deep OF can have velos over 100 mph and are routine outs. Typical game has 12-18 100+ velo events. If anybody thinks a 2-hit night and losing 11-1 is bad luck…now that’s goaltending…lol.

It was startling how much better UCLA was at the plate than A&M. Bruins showed elite bat speed and read pitches. A&M hitters were guessing based on the count. That’s not tough luck. It was a beatdown from the first pitch. Time to stop goaltending for Earley.

@NoahF31511 @TheFieldOf68 I mean. We lost to a ranked team on the road. Buzz gets waxed by the 17th place team in the Big Ten (well, up to 16th now). Hell, Buzz beat Rutgers last year at A&M.

@nwblackmon @N_Chickles It was a shove in the back. The refs reviewed it and called it a flagrant 1. Had he tried to hurt him, it would be a flagrant 2. I was at the game behind the bench listening to Golden hurling F-bombs to the crowd long before the scuffle. You don’t hear us whining. Drama queens…

Excusing the Griffen play or suggesting it was “not anything that should provoke that type of reaction” is easy when it’s not your player and parents haven’t entrusted that young man to your care. Griffen was fortunate to not be ejected. He then opted out of the handshake line and declined to apologize (petty and small and arguably a reflection of bad leadership but fine, whatever) only to come back and talk trash after the game. That decision escalated things and here, Florida reacts to that choice.

I’ve covered SEC basketball a long time and this is an example of how a video doesn’t tell the whole story. Florida Associate HC Carlin Hartman, one of the best assistants in America, was defending his players. Specifically, he was defending SEC Player of the Year front runner Tommy Haugh, who was the target of a flagrant 1 elbow and shove late in the game from Texas A&M’s Rylan Griffen. The flagrant came with the Aggies down 20+ on their home floor. Haugh embodies everything right about college basketball. A 3 ⭐️ kid turned national champion turned potential All-American. There’s no place for what Griffen did in college basketball. Tensions remained after Griffen’s flagrant and Florida dominating on A&M’s home floor. Hartman, who should be a Power 5 HC soon, was doing what great coaches do and advocating for his kids. Who wouldn’t want to play for a coach like Hartman?

A #Florida assistant got into it with #Aggies players after the game and both teams had to be restrained after an 86-67 Gators win. Here's my view of what went down:

@gatorgrizz @BOGBackup1 That’s rich. Your school investigates Golden sexually harassing female students and in the end calls the students liars for the sake of a natty run. Coach on the same staff accused of sexual assault of school employee…nothing to see here it’s confidential. Let’s play ball boys!

These are the type of losers Bucky McMillian signs. No surprise that his team lacks self control and violently flagrants opponents when they’re losing. Nobody I’d rather beat by 20 in their own arena, then dance on their logo, than the pathetic rape apologists of Texas A&M

@BOGBackup1 Plaintiffs dismissed the suit two years ago when he played for Tech. Your university declared Golden innocent during a natty run. You currently have another asst. coach under sexual assault investigation…your fine former player turned groper Taurean Green. The irony drips.

@B1gGameZoomer @harrisonrich_ Y’all just paid us bumfuckers over a million bucks to take him off our hands that we invested in players that can actually shoot a 3-point shot. We in Texas are worshipping the true prophet Bucky McMillian and his 7-1 SEC record.

@gift_wall @micyoung75 @nicksortor Yes. She’s been trained. This is the result she wanted…a misleading video on social media that “confirms” the false narrative. She refuses to comply for minutes and is combative. As soon as she sees officers breaking her window, she says she’ll comply and cries. Great acting.

@ponykirby2 @tupapiindeed @ChuckDouglas_ NCAA Tourney appearances over past 20 years: Texas A&M - 11 Maryland - 10 Sweet Sixteen appearances over past 20 years: Texas A&M - 3 Maryland - 2 If A&M hoops is a loser program, what does that say about Maryland since Gary Williams over 20 years ago?

An absolutely U-G-L-Y Game all around. A total rock fight from beginning to end with 50 total fouls and 68 total free throw attempts. Maryland started the game in a 11-0 deficit and the 2nd Half in a 16-3 deficit. Terps battled to close the gap in both halves but it was just too much to overcome. The Terps quite frankly looked like a team with 15 new players, especially offensively.. Limited chemistry, poor spacing, too much individual play. And little to no offensive flow. Best evidenced by 4 total assists for the game compared to 13 turnovers. The effort was there just not the execution. Pharrel Payne finished with a double-double - 17 PTS and 11 REB. Myles Rice added 19 PTS and 7 REB. Diggy Coit (10 PTS) was the only other double digit scorer. Maryland finished the game 13-52 (25% FG) and 4-21 (19% from 3-PT). Hard to win games or be competitive when you shoot that poorly from the field. Georgetown was simply the more efficient, more cohesive and the more physical team. Fair to say, the 2025-26 Terps are very much a work in progress. The loss snaps Maryland's 48-game winning streak in home openers. The streak was the third-longest in the nation and dated back to 1977 season. @TerrapinHoops || @umterps @TeamCoachBuzz @TerpsADJimSmith

@fabuloso_purple @tupapiindeed @ChuckDouglas_ Considering the two bum coaches we had before him, at a historically good basketball school, we will take it. I have a ton of faith in Buzz that he will flourish here and figure out a way to generate offensive success. Maybe not this year but in the future.
