Hope For Paws was contacted about a mom and 5 kittens living under a house. We successfully rescued this adorable mama and her 7 kittens on May 4th. In honor of @starwars day, we have named Princess Leia and her kittens after our favorite characters!! A kind employee at a local @HomeDepot contacted @HopeForPaws after spotting a small dog wandering alone through the garden center. 💔 She was severely matted, overheated, and completely exhausted after spending the day in the heat. The caring team at Home Depot gently placed her in a shopping cart behind the return desk, where they kept her safe and comforted until we arrived. Ohana was left behind by her family when they moved out of town. 😓 Josh Randall contacted @HopeForPaws to help as the house was scheduled for demolition. With Josh’s help, we were able to secure her and get her safely to CARES. ❤️ Ohana is a Hawaiian term for family that extends far beyond blood relatives to include friends, community, and those who share deep, chosen bonds. We received an urgent rescue request on the @HopeForPaws emergency line. A single kitten was found in a storage unit with the umbilical cord still attached. We named her Sublime. A day earlier, we rescued a nursing mom, Good Charlotte, with her five kittens. We introduced little Sublime to this "wet mom", and she was happy to accept a new member into her family. 🥰 Thank you so much for helping us save 7 more lives today! HopeForPaws.org 💝

Rescuers tried to get this family of NINE, but they were unsuccessful, so finally someone called Hope For Paws for help. 😊❤️👍 Thanks to your support, Katie and I did the long drive and managed to get all of them. Heavy rain here in Los Angeles, and I never got to show you how deadly the L.A River is to all the animals that end up down there. I surprised this homeless Elf, and the result was a Christmas Miracle: HopeForPaws.org/blog/Elf (click for the video). 🎄 Elf is small but mighty and managed to survive on the streets. Luckily, a Hope For Paws donor spotted him and called me for help - this is a really cute video. Hello everybody! I just posted a new rescue video here: HopeForPaws.org (it's the main video on our page). It's cold outside, and with about 500,000,000 homeless cats worldwide, and many of them hide in car engines to keep warm. The nightmare begins when the engine starts in the morning, a kitten freezes in place (assuming he is positioned in a spot without moving parts), and then the scary ride begins. Some kittens jump off in the middle of the ride when they have the opportunity, some reach a new destination and are completely relocated to an unknown environment, and with slim chances of survival, UNLESS we, humans, take action. I'm so grateful that people know to call @HopeForPaws and that we can assist with so many of these animals. Our supporters are making it possible for us to provide all these animals with the best medical care and a loving forever home.
