So @DwrCymru told me my bill has gone up by another 9.7% this year (after a 33.9% increase last year) as customers' bills have not kept pace with inflation. @Ofwat @MartinSLewis am I missing something? My bill is 68% higher than it was in 2021 - should we #nationalisewater?

@BrianODriscoll @brettruganalyst Don’t think it’s malicious but it’s a straight left arm and the right doesn’t wrap. The problem is rugby is a fast paced collision sport and it’s hard to constantly [be in a position to] tackle around the midriff. Onus is rightly on the tackler to be controlled, LCD isn’t there.

@brettruganalyst Disagree with this one. Near perfect technique. 100’s of a second between knee/hand down and making shoulder contact. TMO wrong saying no arms. Good attempt to wrap in vunerable position. In a world where we are trying to reduce head collisions…etc…etc…

@FrontRowRugbyXV They would be clobbered every game. We were terrible against England, fair enough. We weren’t awful yesterday (aside from a couple of big mistakes e.g. a lock thinking he was a fly half), France were just tremendous. (6N should add a team not take one away.)

@rugby_ap 1) We won this in 2021 and 2019. Rebuilds take time. 2) Rugby needs expansion not contraction. Add Georgia to the 6N, add Japan, Fiji & Samoa to the Rugby Championship. More games, more revenue. Except the big boys won’t let it happen because it reduces their slice of the pie…

@TightFive_Rugby Strange decision mainly because it was 24-13; the DG still leaves it a two score game? You’re in the opposition 22, two tries down, as a 10 you have to keep hold of the ball and create. This is the argument against Ford. Brilliant on the front foot, unimaginative under the cosh.

Bad results turn off the “Daffodil wearers” (uninvested international goers), cost of living puts off event/corporate/hospitality buyers, regional fans staying away because of the obvious. End result is less revenue and less funding for regions.

La fédération galloise de rugby risquerait de perdre un peu moins de 4 millions de livres en revenue billetterie pour les matchs du Tournoi des Six Nations, alors qu'environ 55 000 tickets sont toujours invendus pour les réceptions de la France, de l'Écosse et de l'Italie ces prochaines semaines. Rien que pour la France ce week-end, plus de 16 000 billets n'ont pas trouvé preneur et il semble très fort probable que le Principality Stadium ne soit pas plein pour recevoir le champion du Tournoi des Six Nations en titre. Pour l'Écosse, 8 000 tickets sont toujours invendus, et c'est contre l'Italie que les dirigeants sont les plus inquiets avec près de 30 000 places toujours disponibles à la vente, ce qui représenterait une perte de 1,8 million de livres, annonce le média City AM. Les performances sportives médiocres de l'équipe nationale sont pointées du doigt comme un facteur majeur des difficultés de la fédération gallois à remplir son stade de 72 500 sectateurs, ce qui n'était pas le cas plusieurs années avant. @thepaulwilliams Scottish & Welsh rugby both really suffer with cyclicality. The difference is Townsend never maxed out this “golden” generation and has really lived off one-off, emotionally stirring results. To have only finished 3rd in the 6N is criminal with the standard of players he’s had.
