Ronald Acuna Jr is going on the 10 day IL for his hamstring strain. Most will say that’s good news. But the 10 Day IL is the minimum the braves can put him on the IL (15 day IL minimum for pitchers) and he could very well be transferred to the 60 day IL if it’s bad bad.

The #Braves today returned RHP Spencer Strider from his rehabilitation assignment and reinstated him from the injured list after optioning RHP Hunter Stratton to Triple-A Gwinnett following last night’s game. Additionally, the club selected OF José Azócar to the major league roster and placed OF Ronald Acuña Jr. on the 10-day injured list with a strained left hamstring.

@braveshomer27 @ATLHeadband Rarely see a player go directly to the 60 day. Even when pitchers are having TJ they rarely go directly to 60 day. They wouldn’t do that until they HAVE to add someone to the 40 man.

@Zdz17 @chdisciple @A_Huffstutler 10 day IL is a formality. “Hamstring strain” also doesn’t tell us much. Walt’s pregame will give us more info. Hopefully he’ll only miss a couple of weeks but nothing they’ve released has ruled out a longer timeline.
