According to Steam this JSRF super fan has put 15 hours into Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. I have thoughts, so🧵 First off, yes, this is easily the best spiritual successor JSRF fans have ever seen. Areas are very reminiscent of JSRF ones while still being very fresh and different. A+

That being said, I'm really enjoying this nostalgia fest. It's fresh enough while still being incredibly similar to the JSRF experience fans want, which is a hard rail to grind. For the most part, this is the unofficial sequel I've been dreaming of. Great present, @Gharphield

Every area so far has a point challenge at the end vs the enemy team. Unfortunately the best way to earn points and probably the only way to win some of these battles is just to spam boost and trick buttons. It's not fun and feels like a dull chore. It's really anticlimactic.

@Hope_Corrigan I think how rubbery they are depends on the cooking but most things will have that prawn texture. Maybe something crumbed and deep fried might counter balance? Prawn cutlets from the fish and chip or tempura/ebi fry from a Japanese place?

The only food that's got any iron in it I'm not intolerant to is shrimp and I am not a fan. Is there a way to eat it where it isn't so rubbery and weird?

@Hope_Corrigan Prawn toast? (Eg blended and spread on something then grilled) It's less rubbery.

The Bluetooth speakers from @MyBlueAnt I reviewed years back for @byteside are still just the most impressive units. Been a minute but the power is out so they're a refuge. They've retained charge and still sound amazing.
