The ageing covers band at our event tonight have just reached Money for Nothing by Dire Straits which has provoked me to the realisation that there was a very small window of fairly recent history where having to “install these microwave ovens” was difficult blue collar labour.

So good to see Pulp at Glastonbury. And so full of memories. I remember when I put Glastonbury on TV for the first time in 1994 - I was head of arts at Channel 4 - and they were the best thing on. And Jo Wiley was one of our presenters! Great days…..So stupid of C4 to let it go.
