@KevinTheDM I would recommend getting to the game sooner, so probably a short intro with basic backstory to contextualize them and then just get to the game. It’ll grow from there. I’d just try to not alienate listeners by talking about too much stuff that happened before the show started.

@KevinTheDM We did solo episodes before episode 1 with each character as well as a short description for their backstory. Looking back people haven’t listened to the solo episodes as much but it was also the first time for our players, so that was good for their own worldbuilding.

@passionerdly I always take notes for things that inspire me in film, books, or tv right when I see them. Then when I’m struggling to make something new I can look back on them and hopefully find a place to start whether it be a moment, them, moral quandary, or setting!
