As I say every year. MLB Draft Lottery should occur the day after Qualifying Offers are announced. Why? Take the San Francisco Giants as an example. Currently slated to select 15th. 1% chance to land the 1st Pick. If they hypothetically moved into the Top 6, more inclined to sacrifice the 2nd Rounder to sign a player that received a Qualifying Offer. Or take the Mets. They could be picking anywhere from 1st Overall to 27th. It'd be nice to know your slot prior to giving up a Draft pick for a Free Agent. Especially a mid tier guy. Say a Zac Gallen or Michael King type.
