0-2 @KRUesports. Not how I pictured my comeback performance and I’m sorry to the fans for this opener. My mouse wouldn’t connect to the practice room PCs at all, and we were told by Riot there were other tech issues that took priority so it wasn’t able to be solved before going to stage. Unfortunately on stage there was another tech issue which resulted in us getting 60 seconds in the practice range before going live. The only 60 seconds I had a usable mouse since arriving to the arena. I can and will work on being able to perform better in any conditions, and I’m sorry I wasn’t able to adjust enough in time to make it count for today. Next week I’m arriving to Riot 6 hours early so no excuses. You’ll see a better version of me and us

@narnia_sol @lhfaria I mean the schedule looks to be way more optimized than before. It's hard to validly complain about this specifically. If you don't qualify, take the 2 months to prep for the next qualifiers.

Here is my take on Neon. She is an agent that honestly shouldn’t belong in a game like Valorant. Her sprint and slide kit feels more suited to a game like Apex Legends. There is even a character there, Octane, who can literally run faster in a similar way to how Neon does. But now that she is already in Valorant, the question is: what can we do about it? My answer is to simply buff everyone else instead of endlessly nerfing her. I don’t think it’s healthy to keep nerfing an agent every time their pick rate goes up. Players will always have favourites, especially when they watch a pro completely run riot on stage with that agent. Some of that popularity is just hype and player preference, not raw power level. If an agent is truly overpowered, then raising the floor on the weaker agents should be the play. Make everyone feel strong instead of turning the outlier into a clunky mess. In this case, I think they especially need to buff sentinels, since the meta has already shifted toward double duelist comps. Give sentinels more tools to punish reckless entry, stall Neon’s space-taking, or provide stronger info and traps so that pure speed isn’t always the best answer. If Riot wants agents like Neon to exist, the rest of the cast needs the counterplay and power budget to actually keep up, instead of the game slowly turning into “who abuses movement the hardest.” Again this is an online discussion. Please feel free to disagree but please stop throwing insults and attacks to each other or even me. I swear I need to make this clear whenever I do a post lol. Some people in this community is not ok in the head.

i cannot properly put in to words the reaction this scene got out of me in the theater. immediately solidified itself as one of my favorite scenes of all time, striking even the same wonder Jurassic Park gave me as a kid the first time I watched it. just enjoying the moment.

Exactly. The audiobook is 35 hours long so to compress all the subplots and scientific “discoveries” into 2.5 hours is a miracle. To me they hit it out of the park. I was worried (screaming mad actually) that the spoilers in the trailers were going to ruin everything especially the sense of discovery as Grace figures out who and where he is, why he got there and what he’s supposed to do about it but they changed enough in the plot line that it was still very satisfying and even added some meaning that wasn’t explicitly made in the book. If you haven’t read the book first, I’d suggest reading it but unfortunately the trailers have ruined some of the surprise so it won’t be quite the same experience as we had. That said, I’ve read/listened to it dozens of times (makes great listening on watches while sailing long ocean passages) and it never gets old. Andy has a talent for making science fun and entertaining you while also making the story come alive in your mind. 9.5/10.

I’ve seen folks argue that HAIL MARY is good but maybe not great. It’s lighthearted fun. I think people underrate how difficult it is to execute this sort of funny-charming-but-also-earnest-and-awe-inspiring-and-surprisingly-emotional tonal balance without collapsing into try-hard cringe.

I think the last time I saw so many groups of people outside the theater talking about the movie was Avengers: Endgame. Project Hail Mary is something special. So happy the production team has done what they've done with this generational story

@IMAO_ The Adrian sequence was TENSE. Arguably the most tense I've ever been when seeing a movie. The ending of that sequence alone justifies the PG-13 rating imo

Unless I missed something, it really felt like Project Hail Mary could have been rated PG.
