Jameson Hotaling retweetledi

In a game they never trailed in, the @bspadiamonddawg Varsity Baseball Team dug in repeatedly to register yet another one-run win, this time against Shaker at the Boght Baseball Complex in the Cohoes area. Senior Pitcher @HotalingJameson pitched a complete game in the 4-3 Scotties win!
Every Scotties run came with two outs, starting with Doug Chamberlain’s single in the Top of the 1st, which brought in Curtis Evans for a 1-0 lead. After Shaker equalized in the 4th, the Scotties’ bats got going in the 6th Inning. Evan Farrar was credited a single that led to Adam Nagengast and Sam Amodeo coming home after a fielding error. Daniel Weed moved the score to 4-1 as he batted in Farrar with a single to shallow right field that got past the right fielder.
Then it was time for Hotaling to hold onto the lead for the Scotties. Despite giving up 2 Runs in the Bottom of the 6th, Hotaling struck out the first Shaker batter in the Bottom of the 7th. He gave up a single, but Weed’s throw to pick off that runner succeeded for the 2nd out. The game ended as 1st Baseman Nagengast expertly gloved a throw from Cole Thomas at 3rd Base that looked errant initially — but Nagengast preserved the quick inning and the Hotaling Win with the glove save. “Jamo” gave up just 1 Earned Run on 7 Hits and only 1 Walk against 5 Strikeouts.
Not to be outdone, @BSpa_softball also beat Shaker on the road earlier in the evening, 5-1, as @jadynfives55 registered a team-high 2 RBI, and Makayla LaRose pitched a complete game, giving up no Earned Runs, just 4 Hits, and 1 Walk against 5 Strikeouts.
Softball hosts Ichabod Crane Monday at 4:30pm, while Baseball visits Bethlehem Monday before both teams host Bethlehem Wednesday at 4:15pm. After a relaxing weekend, come out to support BOTH teams next week…
