Voters lacking Independent thinking or self-confidence typically have the memory of a fish. If no criticism towards a person existed prior to a major event involving him or her, then suddenly experiences press attacks in a massive and coordinated fashion, that is a HUGE red flag indicating that likely the system is paying lots of people to attack. A script is usually provided making all offenders say just about the exact same things as each other. It's noticeable.

Job openings jump 400,000 last month. So much for the jobs crash CNN promised. Interestingly, blue-collars are doing a lot better than the over-educated white-collars who are terrified of AI.

@NEACETWEETS I said many years ago role select caused the autofill problem and that it needed to be removed im order to eliminate autofill. Nobody believed me. In fact, I was viciously attacked for saying role select had to go to get rid of autofill.

League should have never added role select to ranked all those years ago. Created an entitled community of players that have no empathy or understanding for other player's experiences. Not to mention queue times. Role selection should have been randomized and unswappable, making the top players of ranked the true League of Legends players. Whats your "you are all wrong" take?

Why is Joe Kent being slammed AFTER he resigned? Why was he not a problem before hand? Why was his nomination without noise? I've heard virtually no criticism of Kent until now. NOT because he resigned, but because he opposed the Iran war. To me, it feels like the entire Republican party will publically destroy you and your reputation if you dare speak out against any wars. Not a good look imo.

@DataRepublican @mattvanswol At that point, it makes more sense to NOT have insurance and just pay out of pocket when thr need arises. Saves you months of back and forth on the phone with unhelpful beaurocrats.

@mattvanswol "I spent months talking to insurance, the hospital, billing appeals..." Every person you talked to, every person who was processing paperwork on your behalf, was being paid by the hour. Imagine how many hours that took. That's the real reason it cost $9,000.

Nearly a year ago, my wife went to the hospital for stomach pain. They did a CT Scan of her abdomen and thankfully didn't find anything serious. We got a bill in the mail of $9,117.42 I spent months talking to insurance, the hospital, billing appeals... I was told the claim was still processing. I was told the claim was out of the normal service area. I was told it wasn't clear it was medically necessary. I was told the insurance wasn't valid on the date of service. Finally, we got it handled, but it took well over 6 months from the day we got the first bill to the day we finished the process and paid. We did everything right. We have insurance. We pay our insanely high premiums every single month. It's just so frustrating. This whole healthcare system is broken, from top to bottom.

What in the world is everyone so pissed off at Tucker for? Everyone calls him out but fails to list reasons. I can't listen to that noise no matter how many times it's said or how many people say it. What did he do?

With so many Americans being threatened to have their lives ruined if they dare use their first amendment to speak criticism of Israel or the Iran war, with the exception of a few, the only places we may be able to get unbiased news coverage of the Iran war is via news sources outside the US. The Duran is one that comes to my mind instantly. It's a good thing I can read French, Portuguese, Italian, and even a little bit Russian, or I wouldn't get good news these days. Be nice if I could read some older languages in the middle east.

Tucker running for office ever was always largely just a fun exercise. But you want to make Tucker Carlson a real contender? Arrest him. Go forward with this plan. Watch the SPECTACULAR backfire unfold.

Apparently back in October, Tucker Carlson “spoke fondly” of Venezuelan socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro, asking why the United States is so opposed to his “leadership”.  If you strip away the propaganda, the uniforms, and the staged speeches, Nicolás Maduro comes off less like a leader and more like a power-clinging strongman who rules through fear, corruption, and brute force. In blunt terms: he’s the kind of ruler who squeezes a nation dry while pretending he’s its savior. He is a …. • Power addict who refuses to let go of the throne • A regime boss who crushes dissent • A ruler who trades the future of his people for personal survival. And Tucker doesn’t see an issue with this. Yeah, that tracks.

@barnes_law Mexico had another party that had no relevance 10 years ago, then suddenly blew up to dwarf both PAN and PRI combined. It's now the biggest party in Mexico and it happened within the last 10 ywars.

People have trusted anonymous sources without doubt anyway. That's pretty much what it's turned into: knowing which sources to trust. I can tell you I have an easier time convincing people of something as an anonymous user than as my actual verified self because they know enough about me to decide NOT to listen to me. With anonymous users, there's no background info, so listeners fill in their mental blanks with made up stuff to convince themselves the source is credible. It's possible that part of the reason for verification pressure is that when an anonymous user defames you, you likely will want to sue them for defamation, but how do you do that if you don't know who it is? You'd then want to hold the platform liable for refusing to identify the source. That places liability fear into companies. They may be trying to push verification so as to escape liability in such cases.

I will be crucified for even having this thought, but: I feel with the prevalence of bots and AI generated content growing, social media platforms can no longer be ethical without requiring users to verify their identity. Thoughts?
