Grandmother passed away about 5 hours ago after a rough 6-day fight with a number of issues and complications.
She was entirely fine and fit a week ago and went from 100 to 0. She was only 74 and didn't live to be old and frail the way my other grandmothers did.

Things took a turn for the worst with my grandmother's condition, she had a heart attack and it's looking like she's not going to make it. Spent the last 13 hours at the hospital but taking a break at home to treat my sickness stuff for a bit.

Blue Sky's audience feels more like a merger of LiveJournal fandom/Tumblr crowd + the sports/news side of Twitter. As opposed to Threads which is just big due to Instagram integration but not really having a niche.

Not really leaving here until it collapses under it's weight but I'm more active in the other blue website. Please find me there. I've been burned by alternative sites often, but this one feels different in the sense the target audience isn't really 1:1 with twitter per say.

@mintyotie @ADV1SAGE The other thing is Apple products tend to maintain high resell value anyway, so if you end up wanting to upgrade at some point, it won't be hard to sell your iPad to get most of the way to a new one.

@mintyotie @ADV1SAGE For me, the 120hrz refresh rate is a "nice to have" in that it makes it feel a little more responsive but it's not a deal breaker at all. If budget is a concern, an older iPad Pro or going with the iPad Air is just fine especially for a secondary machine.
