Good grief. The #SLOTOUT petition now has 3.48million signatories. The number is just staggering.

What’s funny is the people who were quoting this saying it’s shameless helped raise awareness that this petition even existed. Basically everyone played a part, whether they signed or not.

@JamesWathland If @LFC completes a genuine, unbiased, results, metrics & trends based review for this season, it can only have one outcome. It'll confirm Slot's tenure at Anfield must be ended. Numbers don't lie, hide behind excuses, deflect or waffle to confuse. Enter #Alonso...Anfield cheers!

🚨: #LFC It’s simply not true if people claim they have 100% certainty over what will happen with Arne Slot at the end of the season. There will be an end-of-season review, and both outcomes remain possible. 🇳🇱

@LiverpoolNowHQ Agreed. Any meaningful, unbiased analytical @LFC season review of metrics; numbers, trends, results, in match tactics & communications could only validate a termination of tenure. But, we've a record of inertia & error with past managers. Fans must keep pressing for change/Alonso

🚨 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐈 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐥’𝐬 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐈𝐬 𝐏𝐑 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐧 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐗𝐚𝐛𝐢 𝐀𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨. Don’t hold me accountable but my bold opinion on the Liverpool situation is that I genuinely think Slot will be sacked, but Liverpool will frame it as a “mutual decision to part ways” purely out of respect for a title-winning manager and I think Xabi Alonso will end up becoming the new Liverpool manager. I think a lot of what we’re hearing publicly right now is pure PR spin. Liverpool do not want even the slightest suggestion leaking into the media that Slot’s job is under serious threat before Champions League football is secured. They won’t want distractions around the squad or manager while they’re still only one win away from guaranteeing it. I personally think Liverpool have already discussed this internally. I think contact has probably been made behind the scenes with Xabi Alonso’s camp too. And I think the sudden Chelsea links could partly be because Liverpool have cooled direct contact until the season officially ends, while Xabi’s camp are sending a message through the media like: “Don’t forget about me. If you don’t move soon, other clubs will.” That sort of thing happens constantly in football. Agents, clubs, journalists and managers all play games through the media that fans never fully see. The situation is probably far more complex than people realise. But the main reason I feel this way is simple: after well over 12 months of watching Slot’s football, I genuinely can’t see how you give him another £300m and trust him with the future of this club. Since winning the Premier League title, Liverpool have regressed heavily, despite spending around £450 million and signing some of the best players in world football. The football is boring, the intensity has disappeared, there’s been no real tactical progression, the substitutions constantly make no sense, every press conference feels defensive instead of accountable, and Liverpool are breaking terrible records no Liverpool side should ever be breaking. And on top of that, Slot has completely lost the fans too. There are boos at home games, boos at away games, huge fan pressure building every single week and a growing feeling that supporters have simply stopped believing in the project. The atmosphere around the club feels toxic right now, and once a Liverpool manager loses the fans emotionally, it becomes very difficult to recover from that. Journalists like Fabrizio Romano are reporting that Liverpool will conduct an “end of season review” and if that’s true, then I honestly don’t see how that review can end positively for Slot. That review will look at everything: performances, eye test, underlying data, tactical progression, game management, substitutions, intensity, consistency and the overall trajectory of the team. And when you actually look at all of that, every single metric this season points in a negative direction and should end with Slot losing his job. And if I’m wrong, then I think Liverpool are making a huge mistake by passing on a free Xabi Alonso while he’s sitting there available. #LFC #Liverpool #ArneSlot #XabiAlonso

@WilsonCoxLFC Slot's hubris knows no bounds. His boring, clueless, soft, technical Dutch football is an abject failure at @LFC & won't succeed anywhere in our PL. His excuses for a disgraceful loss record are lame & his promises for a better future are as unconvincing as Putin becoming Pope!

#LFC 🔴 🚨 Arne Slot has asked Liverpool’s hierarchy for clarity over a new contract and the terms it would involve. The head coach is understood to feel it will be difficult to push through plans to sign new players this summer without greater certainty over his own long-term future at the club. The Hierarchy have held back on talks for a new deal since November and have doubts on giving the Dutchman a new deal. He believes he can win the Premier League for a second time if he gets the chance.

@BBCMOTD The boat sailed at Christmas with the @LFC fans. The club & puppet media tried to stifle the discontent & blamed it on a minority. This week 2.2million fans signed a #SLOTOUT petition in 48hrs. Where's your coverage of that? The fans want Alonso. There's no going back for Slot.

@Clubsources6765 Abuse posts to this are a disgrace. 2.1million fans have signed a petition to get #SlotOut. They'll stand behind peaceful action & have every right to do so. We live in a democracy. @LFC are actively stifling dissent to Slot in the press. Open public protests are the way forward.

⚠️ TO ALL LIVERPOOL FANS ⚠️ Liverpool supporters have always protected this club when the people running it lose sight of what Liverpool Football Club is supposed to stand for. We saw it with the Super League protests. We saw it with the ticket price protests. We saw it every single time supporters united to defend the identity of the club. Now it is time to do it again. Because what we are watching on the pitch is nowhere near the standard this football club should ever accept. This is not about one bad result. Not one bad month. Not “transition problems.” This has become a pattern. Week after week we have watched a side that looks completely lost: • No defensive organisation • Midfield constantly exposed • Players regressing instead of improving • Set-piece disasters all season • Weak mentality in pressure moments • No clear style or attacking identity • Slow reactions from the bench • Tactical collapses in the biggest games • Energy and intensity completely gone This is Liverpool Football Club. The standards here are supposed to be the highest in world football. Instead, supporters are being told to lower expectations and blindly accept decline while rivals move forward around us. Fans are not stupid. Fans can see the direction this is going. And questions also have to be asked about Arne Slot and Richard Hughes. The people making decisions behind the scenes. This was supposed to be the start of a new era. Instead it feels like confusion from top to bottom. Recruitment has well in certain areas but we needed a LW,DM and a CB also which has lacked urgency, planning looks unclear, and there is no confidence that the club knows what direction it actually wants to go in. Liverpool had a once-in-a-generation opportunity to prepare properly for life after Jürgen Klopp as he set up the club in the right place. Instead, the club looks like it has drifted into uncertainty while other elite clubs move aggressively and decisively. Meanwhile, one of the biggest managerial opportunities in football is right there. Xabi Alonso understands this football club. He understands the pressure. He understands the culture. He understands what Liverpool supporters demand. Passion. Intensity. Mentality. Courage. Standards. The connection between the fans and the team has felt broken for too much of this season. The atmosphere is flat because supporters can feel what is happening in front of them. People are not angry because expectations are unrealistic they are angry because they know what Liverpool should look like, and this is not it. Nobody is asking for toxicity. Nobody is asking for violence. Nobody is asking supporters to turn on players personally. But Liverpool fans have every right to peacefully protest and make their voices heard. The same way supporters pressured the club over ticket prices, they now need to pressure the club over the football decisions being made. Banners. Chants. Protests outside the ground. Social media campaigns. Make it impossible for the ownership to ignore how supporters feel. Because silence will only be taken as acceptance. Liverpool Football Club cannot become a club that settles for mediocrity. It cannot become a club that loses its identity and simply asks supporters to be patient while standards collapse. The next few weeks are massive for the future of Liverpool F.C.. This fanbase has protected the soul of this club before. Now it has to do it again. Bring back the identity. Bring back the intensity. Bring back the standards. Bring in Alonso. Move on from the people taking the club backwards. And remind everyone what Liverpool Football Club is supposed to be.

@AnfieldRd96 Too arrogant to admit the failure of their rubbish data driven recruitment of clueless Slot. Too self serving to grasp the ideal replacement manager in Alonso. His charisma with the players & fans intimidates them. They'd rather #LFC suffers than give up 1% of personal empires.

@LFC Sadly not expecting a good gameplan from Slot. There's a fan petition to replace him. It's racked up 1,284,000+ signatures in just 2 days. Majority of fans want Alonso. If the news is true & the club allows him to be scooped up by Chelsea, I'm thinking the fan anger will be epic.

I dont take any personal pleasure in supporting the collective #SLOTOUT fan position. I'm sure he's a decent man. He accepted a role that many would be proud to take, but it's beyond his capabilities & he's damaging @LFC. I DO thank him for his service, but he should leave ASAP
