The tone spoken certainly does not match the softened features of the man looking up at him. One large hand rises from Silco’s waist, fingertips brushing along his flank and continuing along the length of his arm until they burrow into his palm, interlacing with slim digits. —

He’s on his feet with feigned protest, and the scratch of the older man’s beard tingles against bare skin—grounding, in a sense. For a moment, the 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 shuts up, and all feels okay again.
