55 years ago tonight, HFD answered its very first EMS call. Firefighters Glen Morris and Otis Owens rolled from Station 19 to 1818 Brackenridge St. just after midnight on April 10, 1971 — and delivered a healthy baby. The birth of Houston EMS, literally. #HoustonFire

Engine 67, Ladder 67, and Rescue 42 participated in the Shattered Dreams program today, a powerful event showing high school students the consequences of drunk driving. HFD crews performed full vehicle extrication on a simulated crash scene. 🔥 #HoustonFire
