Facebook very conflicted about combatting misinformation. Great NYTimes article on it here nytimes.com/2020/11/24/tec… Take home message, decreasing misinformation decreases facebook usage - people want to read this stuff! So, naturally, Facebook doesn't want to remove it.

Took my daughter for a bike ride and stopped off in a park. A swarm of pigeons descended on us expecting food. My daughter pulls out her water pistol and they all disperse. Genius! Except when I got back to my bike there was a pigeon present on my handle bars. Coincidence?

@jazzystats @AndyPerfors It is the first thing I do every day! That's the only way. If I try to do just one other thing first, it doesn't work. I usually then don't get to my 'protected time' as I need to put out other fires.

@HowePiers @AndyPerfors How do you make those two hours productive? I find a lot of my energy/brain power gets used up on teaching/other projects
