Micki is an advocate for public education and has built a powerhouse communications department that serves several educational organizations. Most importantly, Micki is a friend, mentor and role model for school communicators in Michigan and beyond. Congrats again Micki!

Last night I had the honor of presenting the @MSPRA Gerri Allen Outstanding School Communicator of the Year Award to the amazing @mickioneil! This award is a testament to Micki’s dedication, creativity and leadership in the field of school communications.

In a similar line of thought, something on working with your emergency management partners to prepare for a crisis. We have a great relationship with ours, but I am not sure if that is always the case.

A5: I wonder if there is opportunity to partner with other groups/organizations to offer PD in this area. I have done several FEMA courses which are great but come from a different angle/perspective. Maybe a partnership could help make them more relatable to school pr. #k12prchat

An @InterlakeSSCo themed birthday party for a special one-of-kind boat nerd.

Last but far not least, is the one & only @karen_heath who is moving from a Board member into a special projects/advisor role for MSPRA. She has done so much for our Board & this new role will allow her to continue supporting us while focusing on her @NSPRA regional VP duties.

I’d like to welcome @sarakgee, @icomets and Heather Jewell to the @MSPRA board. I know these talented #schoolprpros will be an asset to the Board and our members. I cannot forget my good friend & super school communicator @kallen713 who is going to rock the President-Elect role.

I am so happy that while they are moving out of their current roles that both Holly and Ashley will remain on the @MSPRA Board as they bring so much to our chapter.

I also want to thank @A2Kryscynski as she wraps up her time as MSPRA secretary. An all around awesome person, she has also given so much to our chapter and members.

On the final day of her term as @MSPRA president, I want to thank @McCawHolly for her service, dedication and commitment to our chapter and members. She has done an amazing job leading the Board over the past two years. Aside from that, she is simply an incredible person.
