DEFENDING RAF AKROTIRI and CYPRUS, We are reportedly preparing to deploy the Royal Navy destroyer HMS Duncan to bolster the defence of RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus, following a series of drone threats and attacks targeting the base. I had the absolute pleasure of visiting HMS Duncan in Portsmouth in 2024. STAY SAFE & BLESS YOU ALL… (official confirmation of the deployment is still pending mind).

15 MONTHS LATER Folks as well as living and loving every day with 102.4 @radiohartlepool and @HpoolAmbulance Charity, I made the decision back then to better myself in education and realised that 15 months have passed since I enrolled as a part time student at the @hartlepoolfe , one of the best decisions ever! In that time as well as making new friends and bolstering college and tutor relationships I’ve achieved three accredited qualifications and as of now working on another two! Have a great weekend!

My Christmas catch up at @CostaCoffee @MiddletonGrange Shopping Centre with good friend Paul Suggitt - Filmmaker today having a good gossip, chatting about his projects over the past year and some pretty interesting ones for he’s got lined up for 2026, some that I can get involved in too. Later joined by Jack Bromby (Hartlepool’s top delivery driver). Paul & I together founded @HpoolAmbulance Charity in 2017 and he’s still supporting all he can, a real ambassador for Hartlepool! From me and my family all with 102.4 @radiohartlepool, all the volunteers with Hartlepool Ambulance Charity, wishing Paul his family, colleagues and friends a truly wonderful and Merry Christmas!

PLEASE UNDERSTAND Due to taking some family time at Christmas I will not answer any messages or calls, emails or inboxes or social media on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or Boxing Day. I’ve never had time with my family over this period since before 2008 and in reality… Since going live with 102.4 @radiohartlepool in 2008 everyone has been able to contact me seven days a week, really unfair when I think about it. HOW GOOD IS THIS THANKS LYNDSEY! I’ve only gone and scored another meaningful qualification after a 14 week course with @hartlepoolfe, Level 2 Counselling Skills! …and been invited to continue my learning in the New Year with Level 3 Councelling Skills further advancing my knowledge and skills learnt so far, chuffed! The qualification gained has allowed me the opportunity to investigate the knowledge and skills needed to use counselling skills and engage in a helping interaction appropriately. It’s a more than a useful progression route in furthering my study and widening my work role with both 102.4 @radiohartlepool and @HpoolAmbulance Charity. I’ve completed the following units; * Using Counselling Skills * Introduction to Counselling Theories * Diversity and Ethics in the use of Counselling Skills * Counselling Skills and Personal Development …and a lot more than you could imagine… MERRY CHRISTMAS folks…
