We hope that 2026 will be a year in which co-existence is strengthened, and dialogue and peace prevail. This year, we will continue our work to keep cultural heritage alive, to advocate for human rights and minority rights, to strengthen dialogue and democracy, to support civil society, and to contribute to the normalization of Turkey-Armenia relations. Happy New Year! 📌 We are sharing the cover image that Kulis Magazine prepared as it entered 1986, featuring the note "Happy New Year and Christmas" in Armenian. With this post, where we animated Berç Toroser's illustration using artificial intelligence, we wish you a happy new year. ✨🎄

“There is nothing left, they took whatever we had... we had to sleep on the floor.” Based on his own life, author Zaven Biberyan describes the trauma and change of a family that lost all they had with the Capital Tax Law. You can hear his story on the #KarDes, Moda Tour. On November 11, 1942, the Capital Tax Law was enacted, imposing a heavy tax burden on minorities, forcing them to sell everything they owned. Those who couldn't pay their debts were either forced to work or sent into exile. Biberyan's story is featured in the Moda Memory Tour on #KarDes. You can download the KarDes mobile app for free and discover the multicultural stories of Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, and Diyarbakır: onelink.to/KarDes
