One day when Justice Katju was a Judge in the Supreme Court the eminent senior lawyer Mr Ram Jethmalani was sitting in his Court in a corner of the Courtroom, waiting for his case to be taken up. Another lawyer was arguing a case, in which his client was accused of committing rape. This lawyer argued that his client was 65 years old when the incident allegedly happened, so how could he commit rape ? Justice Katju replied that when he was a young lawyer in the Allahabad High Court one day he asked a very senior criminal lawyer of the High Court, Mr. P.C. Chaturvedi, at what age does the sex instinct in a man die out ? He replied "Any time between 30 and 80" Having related that, Justice Katju remarked "And here is Mr. Ram Jethmalani, with vast experience in these matters", and waved at him. Mr Jethmalani was then 87 years old (he died when he was 96), and was known to be a ladies' man. Whenever Justice Katju saw him he was with a new young lady. At this statement Mr. Jethmalani stood up, came before Justice Katju, bowed his head sheepishly, and said "I plead guilty, My Lord"

In Haryana, the death of two leaders happened on the same day together in a helicopter crash, Jindal Steel owner Omprakash Jindal and former Chief Minister Chaudhary Bansi Lal’s son Surendra Singh. When the pilot informed that there is a technical fault in the helicopter and it may crash, then upon hearing this Jindal Sahab immediately got a heart attack out of fear and he died even before the crash. Whereas Chaudhary Surendra Singh survived for quite some time after the helicopter crash. Omprakash Jindal belonged to the Baniya community and Surendra Singh was a Jat.

One of India’s greatest lawyers, the late former Law Minister Shanti Bhushan, had an attack planned against him on the instructions of a then Chief Minister, in which his death could also have occurred. He had gone to a party’s Executive Meeting in Delhi. On the signal of one leader, a crowd shouting aggressively advanced towards Shanti Bhushan ji with the intention of beating him badly.At that time, Kumar Vishwas still had quite good respect in that party.
