Creating impact needs deliberate effort through scaling, dissemination and knowledge translation.
BehaviourWorks Australia@BehaviourWorksA

"If you really want to have an impact with your intervention, you need to think about how to get it out there," said @HsiehWing in this short video. The video provides a snapshot of the 12th chapter of our new book, Inspiring Change: How to influence behaviour for a better world. Some examples of how to make your interventions impactful include scaling, disseminating information, or knowledge translations. **New Paper Alert** Field Experiments have matured from academic curiosity to bona fide contributor to policymaking and scientific knowledge in the past few decades. Yet, the political economy of their deployment in government remains ill-understood. We provide insights on both the demand and supply sides in a new working paper, available here: ideas.repec.org/p/feb/natura/0…

@DrDanaSuskind and I have recently argued that every organization should have a scale unit ideas.repec.org/p/feb/framed/0… This is because the synergies can create a recipe to avoid many of the scale-up problems that I discuss in the Voltage Effect. Bell Labs once housed both the "discoverers" and the "scalers" together. Are there any good examples of success today? I suspect that with outsourcing much of R&D, this is less likely in today's large company, to their demise.

Although many sexual violence interventions are successful at changing ideas, they do not impact behavior. And bystander interventions don't reduce victimisation. According to a new meta-analysis of 200+ studies. What behavioural science has been saying forever 🙄
Sage Journals@SageJournals

🚨 Our latest research shows that while sexual violence prevention programs effectively shift ideas and beliefs, there's no clear evidence they reduce actual occurrences. 👉 ow.ly/ZMFj50S9qhw @PsychScience, @ronchuli, @ana_gram_, @betsylevyp, Seth A. Green, @john_pezzuto
