I guess we're going to get UE6 before a complete replacement of this abomination of a launcher? It always turns simplest of actions to torture full of bugs. I've been patient with it for way too long to be honest... I hate it 😂

@WillFaucherVFX @aherys That's right, DLSS/FSR bind to a temporal upscaler interface, when such binding is valid, TSR passes are skipped entirely.

@aherys Oh interesting does DLSS replace TSR entirely? That's pretty cool. TAA definitely has it's fair share of issues too though unfortunately

Question for you #unrealengine gamedevs. Are you using TSR, or something else in your projects? It's no secret it has its share of downsides, has its advantages too, but I am curious to know what some of the legitimate alternatives are in 2026

@Kazantse7Dmitry @JetBrainsRider Actually I found one more issue with this, while the inactive branches properly get highlighted, after Rider restart, they turn full lit and a magenta border appears around them. Looks like the effect type value gets clamped to 0 from an "invalid" value of 6? Same issue with -1.

Experimenting with custom tonemapping in #UnrealEngine5 with a minimal highlights compression. It helps immensely with achieving a low dynamic range look of older digital cameras. It appears to be a great fit for IMPERFECTER alongside its effects! #techart #vfx #gamedev

1.4 Update broadens up the feature set of the Compression Artifacts effect with the addition of a deblocking filter that creates a realistic H.264 encoding look. Lens Distortion also has been improved with a polynomial distortion method and bicubic filtering for best fidelity.
