I am super sad. My brother Romeo, my best friend, passed yesterday from cancer. He was only 10 1/2. Lots of photos of us to come in his honor. That’s him on the left. ❤️🐾❤️

Memories of Huck I year ago today I lost my heart dog🌈 Hemangiosarcomas are swift, asymptomatic and deadly; my beautiful boy died in my arms. Grief was deep for me and for his sister Monday. This year we welcomed Simon, the very best of puppies, so we know Huck sent him to us🐾

April 1, 2026 Happy 10th Birthday, our dear Scout Prince, our gentle “Anam Cara,” our soul companion. You unexpectedly came into our lives in January 2020, just as the world grew quiet and uncertain. In those early days of isolation, you became our comfort, our steady presence, our light. When Richard went off each day, you stayed, faithfully, lovingly, by my side. And then, when the unthinkable happened in June of that year and we lost our beloved 14 year old grandson, you knew. Without words, without being asked, you understood the depth of sorrow. You sat with me for hours, your quiet presence wrapping around my grief. When my heart felt too heavy, you would come to me, as if guided by something deeper than instinct. Even in sleep, you watched over me, a guardian of love and tenderness. Through every year since, you have become the heart of our home. You are pure love. Pure kindness. A being who greets each day with gratitude and joy. There are no bad days. You delight in the simple beauty of life, the rustle of wildlife, the thrill of a game of fetch, the pride of a perfect catch in your younger days. Even now, as your steps have slowed, your spirit remains as bright and graceful as ever. You are our miracle girl, strong, resilient, having faced so much and still choosing joy. You check on each of us in the night. You wait patiently by the door until your family is whole. You greet us with your treasured stuffed companions, as if offering a piece of your happiness. You understand the words we say, even when we spell them. And each evening, you rest by the fire, our quiet glowing center until it’s time to say goodnight. Scout, you are elegance. You are devotion. You are love made visible. Happy 10th Birthday to our angel unaware; our beautiful girl, our golden heart, our forever companion. We love you beyond words. Always.

#MondayandSimon Much to our delight and relief Monday is turning into an awesome big sister to baby Simon🐾😂 She is patient and mostly gentle in her corrections when he gets a little sassy. He is a joyful, sweet puppy🥰 I’m convinced 😇Huck sent him to us💛❤️

@servicerotties Have fun showing off, you and your human have worked so hard to be such an example. We have a new puppy too, he’s adorable and eager to learn, his name is Simon. Monday is mostly happy to have a little brother, I’m sure 😇Huck🌈 sent him to me🥰

Today I'm off to the mall to help Tucker, a service dog in training, prepare for his provincial service dog assessment. He's going to practice all the skills he'll be tested on. He knows them all and can do them very well, but this will help his human feel more confident. And I'm sure I'll get treats for demoing everything so it's a win win.
