Amazon Games VP Jeff Gattis thinks the future of gaming might not need a console at all as hardware keeps getting more expensive, more people could turn to cloud gaming instead. “If hardware gets more and more expensive, then I think streaming will become a lot more attractive to people.” He also said cloud gaming has improved a lot over the last few years and is finally a realistic option for more players. “The technology has come a long way. It’s much more viable than it used to be.” Gattis admitted plenty of players will still want dedicated hardware, especially where internet speeds aren’t good enough for game streaming.

@GuidedByTruth31 @harukaawake When I first read "Dayooth (cuckold)" I thought you were trying to misspell Death Cult and wondered why because X is not heavily moderated, but when I read it again I realized that what you actually wrote is just as fierce. :-)

@schnittvieh Im 2.

@xxshilar @ApexSeeker_ I mean, if he ever had sex with any of them, it would be a porn, so his creators don't allow him to do that. That's the curse and if I ever got isekai'd into a world like that I'd want to make sure beforehand that I wouldn't be cursed in that way. :-)

@OpenAI @huggingface So basically, the computer was not actually severed from the internet. People need to learn that a computer isn't severed from the internet unless the cable is actually unplugged (and no hardware capable of WLAN, Bluetooth and whatever else was put into that machine).

The EU’s highest court has ruled that VPNs are legal tools, and VPN companies cannot be blamed simply because users employ them to bypass geo-blocks. The ruling stems from a copyright case involving Anne Frank’s writings. A Belgian website published some of her manuscripts online but blocked visitors from the Netherlands, where parts of the work remain protected by copyright until 2037. Anne Frank’s rights holders argued the site was still breaking the law because users could bypass the block with a VPN. The court disagreed and ruled that a website using effective geo-blocking cannot be held responsible if some users circumvent it with a VPN. The judges also affirmed that VPNs are legitimate privacy tools.

A school in London banned group prayer on campus. A female student sued, claiming it violated her freedom of religion. The court rejected her case. I support the ruling. A school’s duty is not to accommodate the demands of the most insistent religion. Its duty is to protect every child who attends. When religious groups begin forming in the schoolyard, when students who do not participate are judged, and when even Muslim students face pressure or intimidation to pray, ignoring it is not tolerance. Stopping religious division is not an attack on faith. It protects both the freedom to believe and the freedom not to believe. There is a clear difference between: “Respect my faith.” and “Change this public institution to fit my faith.” The first is freedom. The second crosses into the freedom of others. Religious freedom does not mean religion stands above the rules shared by everyone. You are free to believe. You are not free to make others live by your beliefs. The moment that line is crossed, it is no longer faith. It is control.

@killnotsees @HauntedAI Twilight is actually pretty good if you don't watch it for the plot or the lore, but only for the purpose of learning what many women like: It's not about what exactly the characters are saying or doing, it's only about the emotions.

@JD_Jammy_Dodger @KitsuraNines @P_Dubbin It's true. I've been boycotting Nestlé for 15 years now and told anyone who cared to hear about it, but the masses aren't following suit. People just go from one rage-inducing topic to the next, without ever changing anything about their own lives.

@KitsuraNines @P_Dubbin Im sorry but if this whole artist virtue thing was true then nobody would buy a single Nestlé or Unilever product again. There are entire pages and articles on their human rights abuses but people will still buy a kit kat and not bitch and moan

imagine hiring a plumber and they go, “sorry, i looked at your twitter and you have opinions i don’t like, so i won’t fix your sink.” that’s basically how ridiculous this art discourse sounds. you’re selling a service, not conducting an ideological purity test.

@KitsuraNines The difference is that plumbers would have actual leverage, while the art market is severely oversaturated, so artists can't afford to make any demands besides expecting basic etiquette and setting boundaries regarding certain types of content.

In Japan, when someone says “salad,” you expect vegetables. Lettuce. Tomatoes. Maybe cucumber. Then I went to America and found something called ambrosia salad. It had marshmallows. Whipped cream. Pineapple. Mandarin oranges. Coconut. Not a single leaf was present. I stared at the bowl and asked, “So… where is the salad?” A woman nearby said, “Honey, it’s in the name.” That did not help. I took one bite. It tasted like a dessert had entered witness protection and changed its identity. Sweet. Fluffy. Suspiciously cheerful. A man at the table said, “Careful. That’s a family recipe.” I nodded respectfully. Because in America, apparently, even dessert can inherit property. In Japan, salad tries to make you healthier. In America, some salads are just cake wearing a fake mustache.
