This is my "old man yells at cloud" opinion but I can't stand any game that's made to chill out to.
Modern multiplayer gaming seems based around tranquilizing you and your friend group with objectives so half-hearted they encourage you to browse other content simultaneously

Been seeing a ton of Resident Evil 5 content in my feeds which I think says one thing:
We need the return of quality Co-op story campaigns.
Not boring, low effort friend slop or endless, monotonous online battlepass grinds. Just engaging action adventures with friends.

@MikroSentinel I switched from Meowscarada to Greninja purely so I can hit Ice Beams straight up those dumb ass Garchomps.
I also run Scarfchomp though so I'm absolutely part of the problem.
