@hughweber Funny thing: I was told that wouldn’t make a good dissertation, and I wouldn’t get a job. Wound up writing on a different topic altogether. But that theme has found its way into all my books since then, perhaps especially Downstream, which I wrote with @DickersonWrites

One of my grad school profs asked me what I wanted to write my dissertation on. I thought for a while and then said “Home.” I’m not entirely sure why, but I know that Odysseus, Abraham’s tents and “a city with foundations,” and the mountains of my youth all figured in there.

Habits of great connectors I know: - share others success publicly - listen to hear, not respond - say thank you often - ask for advice, share counsel they receive - give w/o expectation of reciprocity - always seek to pay it forward

Last thing, I been meditating on the work I’m here to do and it’s absurd, ridiculous and absolutely necessary.

One of the best decisions I've ever made was learning to code. It took me 300 hours. 300 hours to change my life! With new tools like Copilot and Ghostwriter, how quickly do you think ppl can learn today?
