Let's go GameStop! GameStop is generating substantial net income every quarter with impressive 33% gross margin. Income sources: Interest on cash. US and Australian operations. Interest and gains on marketable securities. Bitcoin call premiums. Favorable tax treatment from NOLs. The business is small footprint, lean, and shifting away from software quarter by quarter. While revenue is declining, store count is just 2,206, so Revenue per Store was $500,000 for the holiday quarter. Up 25% year over year. This suggests growth in digital sales but can't confirm. And while EPS took a -0.25 hit from BTC paper losses (adjusted off), I applaud the strategy to sell Covered Calls on the position. So excited about that move. Not sure if possible, but if you can put some cash to work writing CSP while still earning moneymarket interest (my broker allows this), the company could cook even harder. Final thoughts, Big cash, big margin, collectibles, no longer dependent on industry cycles, or physical media. Super excited to see the company continue to very strongly and steadily improve quarter by quarter. Balance sheet fortress. To everybody involved: the board, management, employees, and enthusiasts, LET'S GO! Disclaimer: I am very bullishly biased on GameStop. I own a lot of shares of GME and sell both Covered Calls and Cash Secured Puts. Make good decisions for you, I don't know what those are.
