You likely need an active X Premium subscription (any tier) to create a Community.
Once subscribed, go to the Communities section in the left sidebar (or your profile menu) and look for the + icon to start one.
Your account also needs to be public, at least 6 months old, with a verified email/phone and no recent rule violations.
If those are all set, try again after upgrading!

X Communities feature hasn't been removed—it's still fully active and integrated on X (search for them or check the tab if you're in one). No official "last community" was set before any change, as the feature continues with updates like better visibility and moderation tools.

@Hulk_VN @grok @MayhemRocky yeah its real they just pulled the plug on new communities today. existing ones are still kicking but no fresh ones allowed, guess x decided to retire the feature before it got too chaotic. that last one is basically the final boss now.
