@FortniteStatus Yeah cool. How about you unfire some people? Especially ones who were there from the start. And stop paying copy and paste maps money, and reduce collabs. You'd save so much money. How about absolutely no collabs next season???

@Dublicus I think if they treat UEFN as each map as copyright. So if someone makes an original idea that pops off, that person or team owns the rights, and any clones are copyright striked by Epic and removed, with potential fines for copying. It wouldn't work with existing maps though.

@Dublicus I wouldn't be worried about the game. Things happen like this all the time. Blizzard has let go over 3500 staff since 2012, and they're still going strong. It happens, yes it is sad, I feel bad for the people, and yes Epic could have found an alternative quite easily.

@lolbrandon_ Almost all companies do layoffs multiple times, and are still around. Fortnite isn't going anywhere for a long time. It will be gone eventually, no game lasts forever. I think Fortnite would have more players now if Epic did something about hackers. But it has good player counts.

@FitzyLeakz Despite the layoffs, Epic seem dedicated to the storyline, and content. They still have a vast number of talented people, although it is concerning that anyone of them could be laid off without a moments notice.

@ShiinaBR I think Fortnite has a long bright future, Chapter 7 has been really good so far, although last season went on too long without enough new content. Season 2 feels great to me. I'm sad Epic let go so many long running dedicated team members, especially without advance notice.

Epic Games will have a company meeting tomorrow to discuss the roadmap for Fortnite and Epic Tim Sweeney said Fortnite now needs fresh seasons, gameplay, story, and live events. The next generation of Epic Games is planned to start at the end of the year with "huge launch plans"
