Residential school denialism is as abhorrent as Holocaust denial. I've spent my life incredulous at the denial of my family's trauma, including my grandfather's murder. I can't imagine how it feels for an indigenous person to endure this denial of family and community trauma.

@HummingbirdsRA @jennyyu24 @DoronJGold There is a vast difference with the residential schools versus what happened in the holocaust. No one would have survived the schools had they been similarly intentioned.

@realphilipdias @jennyyu24 @DoronJGold I’m not sure why you are comparing a part of the genocides to the whole of another. Canada’s Indian Residential School were a tool and not the entirety. Canada’s genocidal laws & policies were used as inspiration by Germany so they are more similar than you think.
