At the Kabazana reception centre kitchen, the CD saw how hot meals are prepared daily and engaged with the Head Cook who leads the process. Thanks to the ER teams at Kabazana Reception Center, Nyakabande and Matanda Transit Center. 👏 Thanks to @WHH_Uganda for the partnership.

The team also paid a visit the home of one of the Lead mothers that have embraced backyard gardening. With a variety of vegetables like cabbages, carrots, onions, spinach, she plans to consume with her family and sell any excesses to buy other household items upon harvesting.

🧵 This week, we hosted the @WHH_Uganda Country Director under the Emergency Response – A New Start in Safety, funded by @WHH_Uganda. The mission included a visit to the fresh-foods store at Kabazana Reception Centre, which supplements the hot meals served daily to new arrivals

Last week, we hosted the @WFP_Rwanda team in Nakivale & Oruchinga for a Self Reliance Model learning visit. They witnessed progress being made & got firsthand information from beneficiaries in various livelihood enterprises. Grateful to @WFP_Uganda for the partnership. #SRM
