It just feels so painfully obvious that the 14th amendment does not mean that a 9-months pregnant woman from Mexico can cross the Rio Grande illegally, give birth, and be allowed to stay because her child is now a natural born citizen.

If they wanted everyone in all scenarios to have birthright citizenship then there is zero reason to add “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof” in the amendment. Children of illegal immigrants are not granted birthright citizenship, should be 9-0.

@Acyn So #ICE is arguing that admin. warrants for escaped prisoners that have been upheld in Circuit Court (bcuz those escapees are previously convicted by a COURT) should also apply to people whom haven’t had their due process??? 🤔

Lyons: There is case law which authorizes entry into a home to catch a fugitive based on an administrative warrant. Blumenthal: I beg your pardon, sir. It does not abrogate the Fourth Amendment. It does not say that ICE can bash down doors without a judicial warrant.
