@SkanderElKef On history: from an Islamic perspective, unity of the Ummah matters. During the collapse of the Ottoman Caliphate, alliances with powers like United Kingdom are seen by many Muslims as deeply problematic (treason), especially when they contributed to fragmentation.
English

@SkanderElKef On freedom of speech: Islam sets limits to prevent insult and فساد, but it does not justify silencing legitimate criticism. Without accountability, power goes unchecked.

Honestly, @HunterX692, I don’t have any issue with the Al Saud family naming Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 after themselves and again what really bothers me is 'Wahabism' because Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 was formed in the vacuum left by the fall of the Ottoman Empire ☪️. Back then, the Arabian Peninsula was split into 3 regions : Nejd, Hejaz, Al-Ahsa, and Asir. Afterwards, the peninsula was unified under the Al Saud family after the conquest of this land by it's Army. It’s almost like the Kingdom of Jordan; Jordanian people's 🇯🇴accepted the Hashemite to control this new land created by the Brits 🇬🇧 only because of the Hashemite family’s who's the tribes / clans of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
and concerning the approach with the Zionism State , You know Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 is still publicly supports the creation of a Palestinian 🇵🇸 state anyway and Politics isn’t simple and it’s all about strategy etc.....
I'm not a supporter of Bourguiba but
here ; a video of Habib Bourguiba speaking in French about the creation of the Kingdom of Jordan and like Saudi 🇸🇦 named after a family name and another reasons and explanation behind the name 'Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan 🇯🇴 & it's European colonizers, primarily the British and the French, who are the main responsible of fracturing the Ummah of Saydīna Muhammad ﷺ. They created 'hybrid' countries like French Algeria 🇫🇷🇩🇿 and Italian Libya 🇮🇹🇱🇾, placing dictators in charge of these countries as héros to brainwash it's people's with false history. Their only goal was to plunder these countries wealth and using ultimately, slogans like 'Khawa Khawa' or a 'Maghreb United' created in France that can't and won't unite us; the only thing admiting and saying the truth.

@SkanderElKef One of the things I don’t like about KSA is that the country is named after the ruling family. Second, it operates as a dictatorship with no freedom of speech you can’t criticize the government, even when it’s wrong. Third, it seems to be moving closer alignment with Zionism
English

@SG46206016 You can disagree, but dismissing criticism as “three talking points” without addressing the substance isn’t an argument it’s avoidance
English

@SG46206016 Waiting for an embassy in Tel Aviv as your only standard is ignoring how geopolitics actually works.
And yes, history matters—but so does the present. Saying “it was unified in 1932” doesn’t address how it’s governed today.

So the US shouldn’t be named after Amerigo Vespucci? Names come from history.
Freedom of speech vs. stability. Which would you pick if you lived there? Easy to judge from outside.
Show me the Saudi embassy in Tel Aviv. You can’t. Because normalization doesn’t exist.

@SkanderElKef This is my personal opinion, and I’m open to discussion.

An American 🇺🇲 highlights Tunisia's geostrategic importance, noting its immediate proximity to Sicily 🇮🇹 and Italy 🇮🇹. This privileged position at the heart of the Mediterranean has constituted a major asset for over 3,000 years. He emphasizes a unique historical continuity, stretching from Carthaginian 🇹🇳 roots through the successive dynasties that forged the Tunisian identity 🇹🇳.
Conversely, humanity perceive Algeria and Libya as more unstable entities, describing them as colonial creations resulting from French and Italian territorial partitioning.
Finally, he maintains that these two nations were formed, in part, at the expense of Tunisia's 🇹🇳 historical territorial integrity.
